So of my fav parts of Pearl Jam songs are the bridges/breaks where ED and co go to a different place or Ed kinda gets to the heart of the biscuit about what the song is about. What are your favorite bridges/breaks?

Who Ever Said

"Home is where,… the broken heart is
Home is where,… every scar is

Blinking stars, beneath you roam
Room to tomb and cradle to grave
All the answers will be found
In the mistakes that we have made

One bad ear and one eye blind
It takes a village but don't take mine

Living forward in a backwards town
I feed em drinks just to watch em drown

Swallow my pencil and bleed out my pen
Surrender the wish we’ll be together again

I won’t give up,… no, I won’t give up
On satisfaction,… satisfaction

Pull myself aside on a sleepless night
Sadness blurs, I’m in need of a light
Out of balance, balance, balance this time
And I’m feeling fading, calling as I’m falling out of sight

As the silence gets louder my heart gets pounding
And ventricles pumping, working overtime

Our freedoms fraught with danger being circumscribed
A life cut short and circumcised

A rubble of commandments from the road, step aside
A rubble of commandments in the road, step aside"

More recently "Scared Of Fear" has the bridge that I can't not get emotional about

"Hear the voices calling
Oh, again they’re calling
All around my head
Have I lost my friend?

Is this what we’ve become?
One last setting sun
I’ll give, but i can’t give up
I’ll live, not long enough

To stop these voices calling
Stop the voices calling
All around my head
As if you never left"

Aaaand honorable mention to "Pilate" that bridge is t
ranscendental

"Stunned by my own reflection
It's looking back, sees me too clearly
And I swore I'd never go there again
Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down
You down...you down...you down"

Scared of Fear bridge (alongside Setting Sun second half) is the most exciting Pearl Jam in the last 19 years.

In My Tree? More so with the riff coming out of it. Never had a sky seemed so great than when listening to that.

Faithful riff on the bridge? Wow.

Wanted to keep bumping Scared of Fear. The drums, Eds voice (amazing) and Mikes playing all overlapping. So. Good

Almost every song on DM has a fantastic bridge.

Scared Of Fear. Every other bridge is tied for second.

It's a perfect bridge from start to finish, but when it picks up (Is this what we've become) and I hear Mike's solo in my right headphone, I lose my shit.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.
