I intentionally left out Dave A (1) and Josh K (2), because #1 seems impossible plus I'm not a big fan of the idea #2. I like the idea of Brad joining them because he will approach the PJ catalogue with a fresh and unique style. It'll also be a full circle moment going back to the Indian Style days when he was playing together with Eddie

Not sure how you can even have a poll like this without including Dave A as at least an option. If he’s not deserving of even being an option then we really had the wool pulled over on us in the early days.

It’s not that he’s not deserving, it’s that it’ll never happen. His post the other day mentioned they’re not even on speaking terms still.

Still touting Ilan Rubin.  He would be great for this band.

Ohhhh, I thought the poll said who would we like to see behind the drum kit. I didn’t realize it “meant only” who is likely to get the gig, Come on gang. Some people are treating this like MFC died. He’s still alive and moving on for reasons we don’t know exactly for sure but we will some day.

Again my point was only you shouldn’t have a poll asking PJ fans who they’d like to see play drums and not include an obvious choice SOME people would love to see for so many different reasons.

Me personally, I’d love to see a relationship repaired in some form or fashion after all they accomplished TOGETHER.thats all. Now we all know that if they announced they were going to do a short tour or weekend festival with Dave A it would bring nothing but joy to well over the vast majority of the fans. I think it’s a joke that we are not allowed to wish or root for something like that. Maybe I’m wrong but this poll isn’t going to even allow it. I’m not foolish enough to realize that even if he was an option in this poll a lot of fans wouldn’t vote for him ONLY because they felt they need to keep their loyalty to one other person.

Hell I’d be just as happy if the band or maybe one person in the band agreed to have a discreet sit down together or just hang a little and talk and maybe open up about life since then and why certain things happened and what not. Call it an airing of grievances. No way someone doesn’t carry a little guilt for the way things went down and if they could get that monkey off their back (both possibly) I can’t apologize for thinking that would be awesome.

I intentionally left out Dave A (1) and Josh K (2), because #1 seems impossible plus I'm not a big fan of the idea #2. I've just realised I forgot to add Matt Chamberlain. We're only allowed to include 10 options after all...

No Code is my favorite album.  I love the drumming on Who You Are and In My Tree.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

I would love Jack Irons to connect with the band and do some studio stuff, but I dont see him touring long term.  I like Krusen.

Overall just want someone who clicks well with the band artistically and can handle the grind of touring.  Not that they tour like Phish or DMB, but still, I think they (and we) would all hope for someone who is solid and dependable.

Well that’s not fair, you put Stuverud, Gilmore AND Wicks on the same poll.

my mind is racing with possibilities, do we get  MLB, DC or RNDM..

  • Since Bonham Sr. is not available I'd have to go with the second best and the best drummer alive today and that is Mr. Steven Perkins  =)

Yes please. He would add an incredible vibe. He might actually be too good for PJ but I'd like to see what would come of it.

I want Krusen. It comes full circle.
