  • I have no idea who Sierra Poinsy Snasner is, or if I even spell the name right. If anyone does know, I'd like to know myself.

I am a little afraid of this thread. I think this translation process involves a candle, a lock of Eddie's hair and a Mookie Blaylock rookie card.

I'm not afraid...but very interested...whether imaginated or true.

I think you may have something with Immortality, but hearing your interpretation on Betterman backwards makes me think your taking some heavy creative licence in general. Kick ass immortality interpretation anyways. Thanks for it.
  • ...current progress I have made on Better Man. Keep in mind it's still in progress...
I still need to finish translation, then I need to slow the song down by half and check over everything. None of Better Man is ready yet.

    2:54 oo

I will put the forward messages in when I have finished the last part of the song.

It's okay. Think I guessed this one. But the rest will be interesting.

    ;) Good work.
  • can you teell me a little more about what you are doing. cheers bud
Fuck me if i say somthing you dont want to hear,
Fuck me if you only hear whats in your head.
Fuck me if you can, coz im not leaving here.
  • Sure. First I rip the song from the album, into wav format. After that, I use Sound Recorder to reverse the song. I then listen to the song as a whole and mark potential spots. I go through those spots and listen to them very carefully, and write my findings. I then check over the whole song one more time to see if I missed anything. Once that is over, I reduce the speed of the song, and listen to the whole things a few more times, so I can either edit what I've found, disreguard certain things, or add things I missed. After that, I finally polish up my findings.

I was very lucky with Immortality, that whole song was full of reversed speech. Most songs will only have one or two lines of reverse speech. Better Man is a little more difficult. The only parts that I can concider reversed messages are the first four lines a wrote out, and "holds his head, she's had to hold me since."

EDIT 1: and "I'll say this is the ways he showed the sea"
EDIT 2: Revision One of Better Man is finished. Look six posts up to read and test it.

  • i take it all this is subconcious and ed doesnt know hes doing it. i read an article bout reverse speach but it seems far too complicated

  • As far as I know, yes. I put some reverse speech links in this thread.

Incase no one reads the editting I've done on the second page... The first revision of Better Man is up now.

  • Incase anyone is still interested, I've given up on obtaining the vocal tracks to the albums, and will be continuing this project. Expect more soon.

I will say that this is pretty cool. I've done reversals on PJ stuff before. I did find some interesting things, but I can't find the files and I don't remember what the stuff says.

This can get kind of creepy, though. I learned my lesson being alone at 2 in the morning witha backwards track playing...EERIE!
