Vitalogy Reversals

Today I is the first offical day I have worked on finding reversals in the Vitalogy album. It took me 3 hours, but I've finally finished with the song Immortality. I'll post my results here, if you would like to listen to Immortality backwards while reading the results, send me a PM and I might be able to get you a copy.

I have the times listed where I found each message, however, these are the times when played backwards. Therefore, 0:00 is really the end of the song, and 5:28 is really the beginning of the song.

Anything in ()'s are either things I could not translate or gibberish.
The []'s show you want the forward message is.

EDIT: I added the forward message to each backward message. Note what "vengeance has no place near to her" turns into.

    lol, don't worry, so do i.... i just don't have the patience to record an album in reverse then try to figure 'hidden messages'.... i would get half way into last exit, and be like 'fuck this....'

    This is crazy, but pretty cool. Kudos to you.

    Try Grievance. I did once and I swear the backwards lyrics were mostly a combination "fuck it" and "fuck off", which is very fitting I suppose.
    I'm not too concerned with PJ20, because I celebrate the band's existence every year.

    how do you reverse songs to hear these messages? what equipment do you use and is it expensive?

    I know any programs that make it,,, And one then is SOUND FORGE ...
    I hear the song in reverse and i listen very thing like is wrote here ,,,

    I use Windows Media Player to rip the songs.
    I then use ACEHIGH to convert the MP3 to WAV.
    One it's in a WAV format, I use Sound Recorder (all version of windows comes with this) to reverse the song.
    Once I reverse the song I use ACEHIGH to turn it back into an MP3.

    are those things CLEARLY said backwards? or is it a more extreme mumbling from eddie? ive never listened to a song backwards, but just by saying of the the forward messages aloud doesnt seem like you can get the backward message- but i guess i should give it a try

    'by' in "oo get to feeling the sky cruise by" sounds like a cross between of by and pie. 'Nurse' is a little shakey, and so is 'heart.' The rest is pretty solid though. I'm almost finished with Better Man... the delay is the holiday season.

    Im quite sceptical to be honest, i think it's all just a case of hearing what you want to hear. If you tell someone what something says, they will will hear what you tell them to hear.

    Take the time to listen to it in reverse following those words, It might make you not think its so ridiculous, although to me its just a coincidence, i still find it very interesting.

    I think you may have something with Immortality, but hearing your interpretation on Betterman backwards makes me think your taking some heavy creative licence in general. Kick ass immortality interpretation anyways. Thanks for it.

    Sure. First I rip the song from the album, into wav format. After that, I use Sound Recorder to reverse the song. I then listen to the song as a whole and mark potential spots. I go through those spots and listen to them very carefully, and write my findings. I then check over the whole song one more time to see if I missed anything. Once that is over, I reduce the speed of the song, and listen to the whole things a few more times, so I can either edit what I've found, disreguard certain things, or add things I missed. After that, I finally polish up my findings.

    I was very lucky with Immortality, that whole song was full of reversed speech. Most songs will only have one or two lines of reverse speech. Better Man is a little more difficult. The only parts that I can concider reversed messages are the first four lines a wrote out, and "holds his head, she's had to hold me since."

    EDIT 1: and "I'll say this is the ways he showed the sea"
    EDIT 2: Revision One of Better Man is finished. Look six posts up to read and test it.

    i take it all this is subconcious and ed doesnt know hes doing it. i read an article bout reverse speach but it seems far too complicated
