Phil’s offense is maddening.  Feast or famine.  Kepler has been a colossal failure.  Bohm is the new Bobby Abreau for me.  Puts up numbers but never seems to get big hits.  Said before but he just annoys me.  And I know this might be blasphemy around here but is this rotation as good as the four aces rotation?  Probably not quite but it’s been so good

    feast last night!

our offense has been non existent the past two games against Houston. Pitching is fine. When is Harper coming back?

    Tonight finally!

Also Philly is finally getting a WNBA team... albeit in 2030 :n:neutral:

Back from Italy. Here's a shot from Sulmona, Abruzzo. Also I helped make arrosticini at my cousin's house, the signature food of Abruzzo. Except in Giulianova it's called "rustell" - nothing is easy speaking Italian. Anyway, it's the best fucking thing I've ever eaten.

    Nice!

First game of yesterday's double-header was tough to watch/listen to. Nine Walks by Phills pitching!

Incredible. I have two close friends in Italy as we speak and another going in a couple weeks. Major FOMO. Planning on taking the family to Europe in the Spring, my daughter's first time. Still need to figure out where the hell to go, ideally somewhere we haven't been, but pretty excited to get back. Haven't since my daughter was born in 2018

We also stayed in Siena. We were practically crying when we left. It was just incredible. Perfect for doing stuff all day or as a base for day trips. Phenomenal restaurants everywhere. When I've stayed in Florence, by the end I felt like I was getting out of Dodge.

FYI you can watch the Palio at 1:30 eastern time today. Postponed from yesterday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmwObLAh2tc

Dude, Siena is my absolute favorite. Such a great town. Big enough for things to do in town, not overwhelming like Florence (agreed on getting out of dodge), easy to do things around Tuscany. I need to get back. Had one of my favorite dinners ever in Siena,

    Thanks Cliffy, I enjoyed that.
Explains in some depth why he shared what he did when I was at the counter, those nights at Fuji
Why I felt the way I did when his father served us...and the difference we felt when he served us.
I can understand his journey -- and it is complicated that he was doing the great marketing to get us to come in on certain nights and then had a sour face when serving us.
Yet another reminder of how different two sides of the same coin can be.
    I root for Jesse, now.
Mrs FMe has been there.  Perhaps it is time to get my name on the list.

Yep.  Left lots of runs on table.
    Fucking hot out there.
Phils win the series, today, with Ace on the bump.

As long as Wheels pitches like he did in June that would be fan-fucking-tastic

Just need more bats to come around. Harper struckout 4 times yesterday!

With all due respect to Skenes, Wheeler should definitely get the start in the all star game!

Also how is only one Phillie in the game? No Sanchez, Suarez or Turner????

edit: Schwarber is in the all star game as well. Although I heard he's not even participating in the homerun derby
