also, at a quick glance, I don’t see robin williams.

or rodney dangerfield or don rickles. actually, there were a shit ton of funny(er?) people 60 years ago.

I don't think Robin Williams, Rodney Dangerfield or Don Rickles were funny. I found all three of them just super annoying as comedians. Robin Williams was an excellent dramatic actor though.

So many great stand ups from across the pond, Fern Brady, James Acaster, Katherine Ryan (Canadian but lives overseas), Jimmy Carr, Russell Howard, Daniel Sloss, Rosie Jones. Most of these are very affordable tickets in North America.

I also love Fortune Feimster, Mae Martin, Sam Campbell, Jim Jefferies, Ron Funches, Josh Thomas, Urzila Carlson, Ray O’Leary, Hannah Gadsby, John Mullaney, Ali Wong, and too many others to name.
    Where's Gervais?
I certainly respect a lot of Ricky’s past work, Office, Extras, even After Life, are all fantastic. Personally I feel that some of his more recent views and politics will not age well, so I choose not to engage with his current stand up. That said he has an impressive body of work.

Yes it is. Unfortunately my better half isn't a fan.

I figured that judging by the comics you listed.  I love his new material.  He pushes the envelope.

Robin Williams could go off and he was funny.  Rickles was funny when he berated people and Rodney is from the old one liner crew and did have some doozies.  I can see how one wouldn't like them, very little story telling.
