    The extreme amount of ads in football, combined with the lack of action on the field has become too much for me.  If the State Farm Guy was paired with Tom Brady in the booth to announce games, I wouldn’t even raise an eyebrow at the NFL’s decision to mine more money.  They estimate that you will watch 3,000 ads during a season … I don’t know if that includes them plastering CGI ads on the field during the few moments they are actually playing.

    An average professional football game lasts 3 hours and 12 minutes, but if you tally up the time when the ball is actually in play, the action amounts to a mere 11 minutes.
