Back to thread integrity… is anyone getting the Catacombs stream?
Hell yeah! Haven't ordered yet, but I'm on a flight Thursday night so looking forward to the download option and watching on the plane.

I’ll probably order, but don’t expect to have much time to watch; at least not before seeing them next week what with HS graduations & family coming to town.
Just ordered.  $10, which seems crazy cheap.  So curious to see the setlist.

Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

It’s not diagnosed, but I think I have it in my right ear from Nirvana in ‘93… being a stupid 16yp, I didn’t really care that I was right in front of the speakers, I had rail about 15’ to KN’s left. That ear rang for 3 days straight. It definitely flares up now & again, but nowhere near as bad as my friend has described having it. I’m lucky I don’t have it worse, the more I think about it.

ordered the day it was announced.
then we have a show in Columbus on the 17th....

I’m psyched to see them b2b nights… I wish it wasn’t the first 2 shows of the tour, but I’m not gonna complain. The band should be in good spirits and I’m excited to see them in a hometown club again for the first time in 12 or 13 years.

Been trying to get a ticket to the LA screening that Josh will be in attendance for to do a Q&A tonight, but was already asleep when it was originally announced one night last week after 11pm and haven’t gotten off the wait list. Oh well.

    Had already pre-ordered it.

friend of mine hasn't been to a live show since his last Metallica show. Tinnitus from that show.

lol, I got my Tinnitus from a Soundgarden show at the PNE Forum in Vancouver 1996.    I've been wearing ear plugs ever since, but the Tinnitus is worse.  I think it's just something you live with if your a fan of live shows?:(
My first concert ever was PJ at Soldier Field, so volume wasnt an issue (outdoors, far from stacks) and I had no idea at that time anyways.  My second show was Soundgarden at the Aragon Brawlroom in 1996 and I haven't been to a show without earplugs since then.  I have now been to over 900 concerts and I have zero tinnitus issues, thankfully.  As a taper, I love being as close to the stacks as possible.  I honestly don't understand how anyone enjoys a show without earplugs...it sounds so much better with earplugs.  Am I alone here?

The show sounds best with your lopes pressed over your ears.  I found that to be the most desirable sonically if its loud.  Earplugs, even good earplugs take something away I feel.

Nice! I don’t care about vinyl but I’m glad they’ll be releasing the audio. Would love a blu-ray too (yeah, I’m a dinosaur).

Josh is on the WTF podcast that came out today...I'm only an hour in but so far it's a good listen.

Dropped a quick line (without elaborating) that they've been recording lately. I'm not expecting new album news what with their tour about to start, but it's nice to hear all the same.

I watched it during lunch today. It was okay. Kinda short. The new versions of the songs were cool for what this was. Can't say I'd be interested in listening to them outside of this context though. Cinematography was great as the visuals were pretty cool. Worth checking out if you absolutely love this band.

The Alive in the Catacombs was hauntingly beautiful! I wish it was longer, but it looks like Josh was in a lot of pain. The behind the scenes video was really cool as well. It seems like a ton of production went into this. I thought the stripped down versions of the songs were incredible. Looking forward to watching it again.

you too? I've had 4 of the most undisplayable posters of all time out of my 5 shows. The middle one is the only normal one of out of the lot. The one second from the right is just an abomination of art. I bought it at the show, cuz it was show specific gig poster and it was only like $5. But I promptly got rid of it. It's hideous.

Josh sporting the single cross earring reminds me of george michael. And the acoustic bass....FUUUUUGH. I have an acoustic electric bass, and I love the warm sound of it, but never get to play it and it pains me. Maybe I can join Cluthe Lee for an acoustic record lol

OMG I fucking loved that. the short time didn't bother me. all things special shouldn't be indulgent. I think the 28 minutes was perfect.

these arrangements are fantastic. I wonder, "venue" aside if he'd be into a broader show with similar instrumentation and arrangements? recorded one off?
