Stone as Mr. Rogers would have been cool. Him as a headless knight from the London show was pretty cool.PSUS2H said:
I was really surprised that a reference to the arena being refered to as the Paint Can wasnt used. Other contenders was a play on the Kennywood sign but as PJ, or a poster with a Mr Rogers type figure.inmyrvm said:
Alum. All the Pitt references crack me up and drive me nuts at the same time lol. If you showed the references to anyone in the city you would get some confused looks.PSUS2H said:
That's fair. I'm assuming from your handle that you're a PITT fan, how do you feel about Zebs nod to PITT with the Panther on his poster?inmyrvm said:
There won't be anything from the Pittsburgh shows because they didn't make enough of it (you won't find anything from Pitt either because that's the school and they didn't play there)tempo_n_groove said:
Seattle 18 was mass produced. 10 days or whatever of selling merch. Pitt had a set amount. You won't find many in any upcoming mystery boxes but I bet youll still get seattle 18 posters!PSUS2H said:
Honestly, the 10c poster drops and mystery boxes already do that for me. I drove down to the Paint Can the day of PIT N1, saw that crazy line and thought, I'll try my luck with the 10c drop. I got everything I wanted from Seattle 2018 once the mystery boxes dropped the next year.on2legs said:
It would disincentivize people to wait on line at the show.demetrios said:PSUS2H said:
Same, but they guarantee it all moves through mystery boxes. Otherwise I’m sure some items would never sell out.pjl44 said:Surprises me they don't sell more leftovers online once the tour is overYep. The mystery boxes are pretty cool, but sometimes I wish they could put some of the left over tour merch online for us to purchase.
Had to buy it automatically because of it. Luckily I was able to get the AP, but I won't lie I wasn't overly crazy about it at first. It looks way better in person than it does in a picture. Vampire weekend had a very good print from their show the other night with a panther on it. If I was a fan I'd be all over it (and I think it's a better print tbh).0 -

            Pittsburgh N1 Poster Saga:
My bud and I travel the US to see as many PJ shows as we can (like most of us here) and Pitts N1 and N2 were on the books. We live on opposite ends of the country and we both traveled into Pittsburgh for the 2 shows. We lined up early on the 16th to make sure we could hit the merch as soon as the doors opened. What a poster! We always skip the outdoor sales tent, but we never get shut out of a poster.
As soon as the doors opened we ran in, there was already a line for the merch table at the front door. A guy working at the venue told about 4-5 of us, "hey there's no line upstairs!" We ran up the stairs and down the halls to the merch stands on the upper levels, and the Klausen posters were there! ... But already the longest line I have ever seen behind both tables. Reluctantly, we got in line. While we waited, we chatted with those around us. All of them had been sent up to this line by the same guy downstairs lol.
You know how this part goes, by the time we reached the table the posters were gone... But hey epic show that night.
We scoured Brad Klausen's Instagram posts and saw that he was going to release 100 artist variants on his website that Sunday... We were determined to get it this time. We had 2 phones and a computer set up at the right time to pounce on the poster as soon as it went up on his site. BAM - I got it in my cart! ... 5 seconds to add my address, SHIT - the site is asking me for a verification code. As I was typing in the code the screen auto-refreshed and the posters were gone. The whole thing took 10 seconds. We were shut out again.
One last shot was that Klausen was going to appear at an art festival in LA on May 31st and he said on his instagram account that he'd have another batch of Pitts posters there. My bud just happens to live in LA, and swore he and his wife would go and try one last time for the poster. I was doubtful it would work this time, it seemed like a long shot.
On the 31st, my bud arrived early at the art festival with his wife. He found Klausen's art tent. There was a bin behind that read "Pittsburgh posters - one per person". Glad he brought his wife! When he made it to the front of the line he and his wife both got one. My buddy said, "hey I was at this show!".. To which Klausen could literally care less lol.
The poster arrived today from LA from my bud. What... a ... journey... What a tour!!

When he made it to the front of the line he and his wife both got one. My buddy said, "hey I was at this show!".. To which Klausen could literally care less lol.
The poster arrived today from LA from my bud. What... a ... journey... Don’t through the whole East Coast in that. It’s got to be Northeast specific.cincybearcat said:
That's some weird ass East Coast shit. I never heard it until listening to Howard Stern radio show and they say "On line" all the time....fools.droptheleash9 said:One thing that was eye opening for me about merch this year was how many people say "wait on line" vs "wait in line"
. Have I been saying it wrong my entire life?

Prob about the same, BUT you'd at least have had the experience of Color Haiku and visiting LA. That's worth it in itself.ZoSoTim said:Probably should have bought a plane ticket and gone to Color Haiku to get it. I have never heard anyone refer to the arena as the paint can, but I like it! I'm surprised nothing with a penguin has ever been used tbh. You could have a lot of fun with that.PSUS2H said:
If I was a fan I'd be all over it (and I think it's a better print tbh)."Fuck the talkin' let's start rockin" - Eddie Vedder 9-5-00 Pittsburgh

Maybe wrong place to ask but I’m kinda new here. Why are the 2025 posters selling out on10c so fast (well most of em) but the ones on 10c from 2020-24 readily available? Was hoping to pick up an opening night 4/24 but they never came up I don’t think. Are the older ones reprints or did they just make way more or something? Some of the ones from previous years seem way cooler, at least IMHO.1996 Ft.Lauderdale

You're in the right place. The posters go fast on 10C or anywhere depending, usually, on how awesome they are. I think FL night you're talking about was one of the hot ones, so it went quick.Keefer33 said:Maybe wrong place to ask but I’m kinda new here.
