 On paper, I'm taking Philly 1 > Camden.CROJAM95 said:Camden 2022 Tale of the Tape Philly 1 2024

 both are great
Having said that, setlists don't tell the whole story, so I'll defer to anyone who was there for both.
PS: You're missing Indifference as the Philly closer.

was at both, like any sane person who is only 2.5 hours out of Philly....never miss those shows
Sorry bout Indifference.. corrected. Camden was great, less of an Album tour so a few more from other albums. Philly 1 as great as it was, Lotta Philly/Camden shows would have something to say0

IMO, ranking shows one wasn't at is a fool's errand... I can only compare those that I was at, so I'll take your word for it.0

Chloe/Crown with Breath prob gives Philly the edge.....thats the special sauce...0

When you take into consideration that this Philly show was in fact an album tour show but yet didn't quite feel like one, speaks volumes. This show didn't feel like any of the other Dark Matter shows in the tour. It felt to me like the band was just playing with more intensity and energy for this show.CROJAM95 said:was at both, like any sane person who is only 2.5 hours out of Philly....never miss those shows

            I was at both shows. Both were fantastic and it’s hard to choose. I do remember Ed telling the audience at Philly 1 that people were going to love the bootleg. Or something to that effect. So I’m going to go with Ed and say Philly 1.Post edited by on2legs on1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

Philly has been a better show than MSG for quite a few years now. It seems they hit harder there than before. Now they still can make MSG's building move mind you but the Philly shows are just better.0

Hartford '13 is THE show I hold Philly 1 '24 up to... easily the two best shows I've seen this band put on.Loujoe said:May have to try to find this show on YouTube
Man. I was at Hartford 2013 behind the stage and I never saw/heard/experienced a crowd like that.
Not sure if it was my perspective, but Holy heck!!
I think we also got a stripped down small town to the back.
 Ain't talking bout love
F..king up with the lights on
It was pretty pretty pretty f..king good!!
Alone... Long Road... Last Exit.... Long Road... Immortality... Save You.... that night was other worldly. & Yes... Elderly to the back of the house sounds about right. What a f'n night.
Yep -- I was at both of those shows, and the Seattle shows in 2018. I think Seattle 2 might be the best show I've ever seen, but Philly 1 2024 and Hartford 2013 are right behind it.All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0

In hindsight, they may have only played Long Road once.Merkin Baller said:

Seattle 2 2018 doesn’t get mentioned enough in these conversations. I get the feeling a lot of people from the east missed that one.curmudgeoness said:Merkin Baller said:

I almost died after that show! The afterglow of Philly 1 and bing in front of Ed at both msg shows no bullshit, was keeping me not focused on 9 days in the hospotal
if your gonna go… Philly 1 was a great last meal 😁0

It’s really all about how the show made you feel and what you’re looking for.
That said, I was at Philly 1 and had a blast, but it’s honestly not even a top 10 PJ show for me. Shows are still a ton of fun but these days it’s all about reconnecting with old friends. The magic was gone by 2006 with 2013-14 being one last spike imo of course."What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."0
