So I suppose there's support in this thread for the Pro-Palestinian terrorist that killed 2 Israeli's in DC??
Good contribution today. Nice one. Should I speculate all the illegal and inhumane things you support based on your political affiliation if that's the game you want to play?

This is the extent of the discussion of the two young Israelis murdered on the peaceful streets of DC, in the name of freeing Palestine. Murderer chanting same thing you’d hear at an AOC rally as he murdered in cold blood. Hamas policy is radicalizing liberal Americans. The victims home country gets cursed out above on this page today, on this forum, while their blood is still on the DC streets. The liberal movement has gone full crazy.

They murder on peaceful streets. They bring their hatred here. Last year at colleges, and now this. These people have no interest in peace.
And why did these young Israelis about to be married do? Why were they at this museum?

Why did they risk their lives entering the dangerous streets of DC which was the risk that ended their young lives? What was the cause they believed in that they risked their lives attending last night? Hint, do an extensive search, the liberal sites are not including this detail, and it’s not on this forum. Smells like the Shapiro incident. They are blind to it.

With a murder rate of 40 per 100K, I'd say it’s pretty peaceful. Peaceful or dangerous? Which is it?

It’s a war zone, that Palestine wanted. Didn’t they teach you what a war zone was in high school?      (Edit, should be obvious calling dc a war zone was /s … but to the uneducated, I guess that was impossible to understand).

again, 10/7 was in response to the isreali policies against the palestinians.

you act as if history started on 10/7 and are ignorning all that led to it.
Some of it may have been, but a lot of it was just based in antisemitism and an excuse to murder innocent Jews. They weren't targeting Israeli government or military. They went after citizens.

Recent article in The Atlantic tackles this and the DC murders. Sorry, might be behind a paywall if you don't have a subscription.

This is an extremist take. I'm mostly a social liberal and fiscally moderate and I don't agree with it. This to me is like saying the conservative movement has gone crazy because of a certain faction or individual actions. Yeah, there are extremists within all parts of the ideology spectrum, but it's bullshit to say the liberal movement has gone crazy. Has the DNC or members of congress come out in support of the murder or downplayed it? No, of course not.

Supporting Hamas is extreme. Supporting socialized medicine (Bernie AOC) is extreme.

Not acknowledging the democrats just rigged an election is extreme.
Dems rigged the election to lose?

And holy shit man...socialized medicine is not extreme. Our bullshit system is extreme.

It hasn’t seen the light of day because any candidate supporting it would lose, and has, lost. The current system may make you cry, but no one has come close to winning 270 electoral votes saying they were replacing it with that.

There was no election for the democrat nominee, because the “winner” was appointed, after an intentional delay to limit options. You must be joking with this nonsense.

Real peace loving people from the part of Palestine that had nothing to do with 10/7 and we were told was “peaceful” and how Israelis treat the Palestinians so very well. So very well, that if only the Palestinians in Gaza behaved so well, they could live like the Palestinians in the West Bank. Yea, sure. “Just move.”

Israeli settlers force about 150 Palestinians to leave their West Bank village

Two settlers under UK sanctions among those who carried out intimidation campaign under Israeli authorities’ watch

Violent Israeli settlers including two under UK sanctions have forced about 150 Palestinians to leave their village in the occupied West Bank, through a five-day intimidation campaign carried out under the watch of the Israeli police and army.

On Sunday morning, settlers established an illegal outpost, consisting of a basic shelter and a sheep pen, 100 metres from a Palestinian home in Mughayyir al-Deir, east of Ramallah. By Friday, dozens of villagers had already moved their flocks away, packed up their belongings and were dismantling the wooden and metal frames of their houses.

Settlers stalked between Palestinian men who worked fast and largely in silence, grappling with the grim reality of leaving the place where most were born and grew up. A child cried as he was driven away on a truck loaded with the family’s red sofas.

“We are all leaving,” said one villager, who asked not to be named. Settlers threw stones at some trucks as they left, and celebrated on social media.

Elisha Yered, an unofficial spokesperson for the extremist group Hilltop Youth, wrote: “This is what redemption looks like! This is a relatively large outpost that contained about 150 people from the enemy population, but it was broken.”

What do you call wiping out the healthcare and education infrastructure? I’ll give you a hint. It starts with the letter G.

Guess they should have moved, eh?

Israeli attack on school used as shelter in Gaza kills dozens, say local health officials – Middle East crisis live

Strike targeted Fahmi al-Jarjawi school, where families have been sheltering, says Gaza’s civil defence as Israeli military says militants were operating from school

An Israeli strike killed dozens early on Monday at Fahmi al-Jarjawi School, where people were seeking refuge, according to local health officials. Gaza’s civil defence says the death toll has risen to 36, with the majority of those killed being women and children. Israel’s military claimed it targeted militants operating from the school.

The Hamas-led government media office in Gaza has described an earlier Israeli attack on school being used as a shelter as a “brutal massacre”. It claimed that 18 children were among the dead, and described the attack as “a direct extension of the crime of ethnic cleansing and genocide”.

Nice. Another racist nation. And peaceful. Guess the Palestinians should “just move.”

Thousands of Israelis join violent, racist march through Jerusalem’s Muslim quarter

State-backed flag day march shut down Palestinian life in Old City to celebrate Israel’s 1967 annexation of East Jerusalem

Thousands of Israelis have joined a state-funded march through the Muslim quarter of the Old City in Jerusalem, where large groups chanted racist slogans including “Gaza is ours”, “death to the Arabs” and “may their villages burn”.

The annual march, paid for and promoted by the Jerusalem city government, celebrates Israel’s capture and occupation of East Jerusalem and its holy sites in the war of 1967. The Israeli takeover is not recognised internationally.

The Jerusalem municipality advertises the event, known as the flag march, as a “festive procession”, part of a broader programme of events celebrating the “liberation” of the city.

The march has been marred by racism and attacks on Palestinians for years, and is preceded by a campaign of violence in the Old City that in effect shuts down Palestinian majority areas, particularly in the Muslim Quarter.

From before midday on Monday small groups of young Israeli men attacked and harassed shopkeepers and passersby inside the city, spitting at women in hijabs, stealing from cafes, ransacking a bookshop and entering at least one home by force.

“Shut now, or I can’t protect you,” a police officer told cafe owner Raymond Himo, when he protested about teenagers in religious Zionist dress stealing drinks. On Monday, shops had mostly closed by 1pm, hours earlier than in previous years, with residents barricaded in their homes.

Aviv Tatarsky, a researcher with the Ir Amim non-profit that works for an equitable Jerusalem, said: “It deprives people of their economic livelihood, makes them feel unsafe in their surroundings. Symbolically it sends a message: ‘You don’t belong here, we are the ones who own this place.’”

From midday, groups of Jewish men inside the city shouted racist chants including “may their villages burn”, “Mohammed is dead” and “death to Arabs”.

Those slogans were picked by larger groups of mostly men that began arriving in the late afternoon. Women approached the Western Wall on a separate march, which is largely divided by gender for religious reasons.

One large group arriving at the Damascus Gate chanted “Gaza is ours”, and carried a large banner reading “Jerusalem 1967, Gaza 2025”, in effect threatening full military annexation of the strip to echo the capture of East Jerusalem.

Another banner read a “without a Nakba there is no victory”, referring to the forcible expulsion of about 700,000 Palestinians when the state of Israel was created in 1948.

The procession is coordinated by “Am K’Lavi”, a non-profit whose only activity is organising the flag day march. It is chaired by Baruch Kahane, the son of Meir Kahane, a Jewish supremacist Rabbi who founded the Kach party. Banned as a political party in Israel in the 1980s under anti-terror legislation, it is now a far-right movement.

Some marchers wore T-shirts with the party’s symbol of a clenched fist in a star of David. Others wore shirts with the names of their high schools, which had organised group outings to the march.

Despite the history of violence at the march there was a relatively light police presence inside the Old City, and they did little to protect many of the Palestinians targeted with violence.

Activists from the group Standing Together, who stood as human shields in front of attackers protected only by purple gilets identifying them as members were often the only barrier preventing the violence escalating.

The far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was among the crowds arriving at the Old City around sunset. He had earlier made an inflammatory trip to pray at al-Aqsa mosque in its compound, where officially Israel does not permit Jewish believers to carry out religious rituals.

The prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, hosted a cabinet meeting in Silwan, in occupied East Jerusalem. He ignored warnings from the Shin Bet security service that it would be an inflammatory move, Israeli media reported.

The flag march is already seen as a violent and deeply provocative expression of Jewish control of Jerusalem, which has in the past triggered broader conflict. Violence at the same event helped spark the 11-day war between Israel and Hamas in 2021.

Danny Seidemann, an Israeli attorney specialising in the geopolitics of Jerusalem, described Netanyahu’s cabinet meeting as political “pyromania”.

“The ridge to the south of the ramparts of the Old City, literally in the shadow of the Old City, is indeed the location of biblical Jerusalem. But it is also a contemporary Palestinian neighbourhood,” Seidemann said.

“The past is being weaponised by biblically motivated settlers to displace Palestinians, demolish their homes and recreate their vision of a renewed pseudo-ancient Israel. This is the site, the most contested and volatile in Jerusalem, is where Netanyahu has decided to ‘celebrate’.”

Oh look! See how well Israel treats Palestinians in the West Bank? Nothing like having more of your territory usurped, eh? But hey, they should just move, right?

Israel confirms plans to create 22 new settlements in occupied West Bank

Defence minister says move ‘prevents establishment of a Palestinian state that would endanger Israel’

Israel has said it will establish 22 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, including the legalisation of outposts already built without government authorisation, after a security cabinet vote held in secret last week.

Israel occupied the West Bank, capturing it from Jordan, in the six-day war of 1967. Since then, successive governments have tried to permanently cement Israeli control over the land, in part by declaring swathes as “state lands”, which prevents private Palestinian ownership.

The motion was said to have been put forward by the far-right defence minister, Israel Katz, and the finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, who lives in the West Bank settlement of Kedumim, which is considered illegal under international law.

Katz said the settlement decision “strengthens our hold on Judea and Samaria”, using the biblical term for the West Bank, “anchors our historical right in the Land of Israel, and constitutes a crushing response to Palestinian terrorism”.

He added it was also “a strategic move that prevents the establishment of a Palestinian state that would endanger Israel”.

A spokesperson for the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem said: “Israel continues to promote Jewish supremacy through the theft of Palestinian land and the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank. The Israeli government is openly and blatantly working to destroy the Palestinian people, and any chances for a normal future for the people living between the Jordan River and the sea.”

The spokesperson added: “The international community is enabling Israel’s crimes by standing aside while millions of Palestinians are subjected to this racist and brutal regime of the Israeli government.”

The government intends to use the 22 settlements to bolster Israel’s presence around Route 443, which connects Jerusalem and Tel Aviv via Modiin and was described by Israel Ganz, the head of the Yesha council umbrella group of West Bank Jewish municipalities, as “the most important decision since 1967”.

The minister said on X: “We have made a historic decision for the development of settlements: 22 new communities in Judea and Samaria, renewing the settlement of the north of Samaria, and reinforcing the eastern axis of the state of Israel.”

Last July Israel approved the largest seizure of land in the occupied West Bank in more than three decades, according to a report released by Peace Now, an Israeli anti-settlement watchdog.

At the time, the Israeli government approved the appropriation of 12.7 sq km (nearly 5 sq miles) of land in the Jordan valley, indicating it was “the largest single appropriation approved since the 1993 Oslo accords”, referring to the start of the peace process.

In a leaked recording captured by Peace Now last year, Smotrich, during a conference for his National Religious Party-Religious Zionism, disclosed that the land confiscations in 2024 surpassed previous years’ averages by approximately tenfold.

He said: “This thing is mega-strategic and we are investing a lot in it. This is something that will change the map dramatically.”

In May 2023, Smotrich, who said his “life’s mission is to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state”, instructed Israeli government ministries to prepare for a further 500,000 Israeli settlers to move into the occupied West Bank.

On 20 June, the Guardian revealedhow the Israeli military had quietly handed over significant legal powers in the West Bank to pro-settler civil servants working for Smotrich.

An order posted by the Israel Defense Forces on its website on May 2024 transfers responsibility for dozens of bylaws at the Civil Administration – the Israeli body governing in the West Bank – from the military to officials led by Smotrich at the defence ministry.

In March, a statement issued by Peace Now said that between 1 January and 19 March, 10,503 housing units were promoted, surpassing the 9,971 units approved throughout the whole of 2024.

The approval of new settlements by Benjamin Netanyahu’s far-right government represents a further implementation of its longstanding goal to annex the occupied Palestinian territory – an objective bolstered by the Trump administration.

Mike Huckabee, nominated as Trump’s new ambassador to Israel, signalled his support for Israeli claims on the West Bank in an interview last year. He said: “When people use the term ‘occupied’, I say: ‘Yes, Israel is occupying the land, but it’s the occupation of a land that God gave them 3,500 years ago. It is their land.’”

Rightwing settlers have described top officials in Trump’s new administration, which rescinded sanctions imposed on violent Israeli settler groups, as a “dream team” that would offer a “special opportunity” to permanently end any prospect of a Palestinian state.

Sure, it’s not a genocide but hey, they should just move, right? Easy-peasy conflict resolved. And if you haven’t seen the satellite imagery, I suggest that you do. From the link:

I point all this out because great pains have been taken by US politicians and some people in the media to insist that Israel can always be trusted to tell the truth, while Palestinians are frauds who shouldn’t be listened to. Palestinians and pro-Palestinian voices are over-exaggerating the severity of the situation, we keep being told by “reasonable” centrist voices in the media, who seem keen to ignore the growing consensus by genocide scholars (including Israeli scholars) that this is not a “conflict”, it is a genocide.

Look at these pictures. Really look at them. If you still believe that all this is justifiable, that you are not bearing witness to crimes against humanity, then look at yourself. Ask yourself what you have become.

That’s called a war, bud. One country doesn’t like the others policies. If you don’t want one, don’t start one. Don’t violate peace treaties. Just a couple ideas.
    was there history before 10/7/2024?

    yes or no.
