    If you're not opening your vinyls to at least rarely spin them, ... you're probably not a collector but an investor. A collector wants to enjoy the collection ... which means listening to the music in the case of a music collection while preserving the state/condition of every item. That's no contradiction. The main focus of an investor is to solely preserve the value of the collection. That's what you do when you refrain from opening a sealed vinyl. That's my take on this topic.

    If you're not opening your vinyls to at least rarely spin them, ... you're probably not a collector but an investor. A collector wants to enjoy the collection ... which means listening to the music in the case of a music collection while preserving the state/condition of every item. That's no contradiction.
