    I pay $60 a month for my pup insurance, don’t know how extensive it is.. but with the last guy costing me $4500 his last year … crazy

    Just got home from volunteering at my local shelter and there’s so many animals in need of homes… very sad. Bella has a loving one and that’s where she should be. I’m not active on the PJ Facebook groups, but will try to post there to hopefully get more donations.

    Thank you so much. You are so right as  family we are infuriated at the lack of heart and care from this vet
     They would rather have no money and give the cat away than some money and it comes home it's ethics are all wrong.

    Of course. Post is up. Know people are distracted with the show, but we’ll keep at it until you’re able to bring Bella home. 
    And I agree, the way the vet is handling this seems strange. The ones I’ve dealt with are usually willing to work with you. My dog Bubba thinks he has 9 lives, so I’ve frequented the ER vets and they’ve usually had payment plans or financing like care credit.

    In the UK not many insurers cover pre-existing conditions but one who does is ManyPets. When we adopted our cats we had to go with them as one had a pre-existing condition.
    They have been great since, paying out fairly promptly, especially a couple of years ago when one of them was attacked by two dogs and more recently when she developed heart issues that have involved lots of scans and investigations.
    One thing to bear in mind is that there is a mandatory 20% co-pay for cats over the age of nine.

    Thank you. I asked the vet and she said she has no pressure existing health problems. 3 legs will be ok. Where as if she had previously had kidney problems then they wouldn't insure for it but as it was an amputation and otherwise healthy. It will be ok with normal insurance .
