I don’t really care that my Jazz didn’t get #1 since I’m down on the team owner and the POBO. That said, I can’t be happy that dallas got it. They had a chance to be decent even without Flagg. I don’t know the answer to this whole draft lottery thing but it’s jacked up that a team that won nearly half its games gets #1 while the three worst teams don’t even pick in the top three. I know smarter folks than I have looked for the “answer”…

Yet to even make the play in, not quite a dynasty yet.

Wemby I can see.  Castle I wasn't very impressed with.  Best rookie in a weak class.  They have Fox but shouldn't need him if they draft this Dylan kid and then they have #14 in the draft too.

They have some young kids to build off of for sure but lets see if they can gel.

from a TV standpoint, these are not the conference finals the networks were hoping for.

The NBA's 2 next big stars are SGC and Antman.  This is good for the future.  Haliburton showing out is good too.

I'm glad we don't have Cavs/Warriors for 4 years type situations and had 7 different teams in the final the last 4 years.

Well, they do have NY, so that's a big plus for the networks.
The finals being either OKC or Minn vs Indiana however, woof as far as ratings.

The stars of those teams should start drawing nationwide audiences. They bring energy and explosive play that translates to curious observers wanting to see the rising stars on the big stage.

Those stars (SGA, Edwards) will only bring folks who are already NBA fans and likely to watch anyway. They aren't transcendent stars like Bird, Magic, MJ, Kobe, Shaq or LeBron, at least not yet. So, ratings will be more market driven and if the Knicks get knocked off by the Pacers, these finals will have very low ratings. They may have great basketball, but they'll have poor ratings.
Should the Knicks make it, different story.

Not really. The Cavs buckled. Boston and OKC are struggling, but OKC should hang on. I'm going to say the Wolves have been dominating since the last few weeks of the regular season and are riding some momentum with a team that seems to have found their chemistry between Randle and Ant. I'm biased though ;).

the knicks have the market size but I don’t think they draw a national audience of lovers and haters like the lakers, warriors or celtics.

maybe the knicks of old, but not these knicks. just my opinion.

No, they don't have the national draw, but just the NY market brings a huge audience jump over Indiana.

Hoping the Knicks win. Mainly cause Brunson and Hart are Nova guys. Also cause of this, WWE predicted Knicks/Pacers in eastern conference finals
