In Nashville, I (accidentally) bought a very plain tomato sauce. It needed a little spark. I bought a truffle salt from a spice store, and it was wonderful. When I travel, I will visit spice stores. What a fun adventure!

No photos, but I was just in Toronto, and Chiang Mai is this amazing Thai restaurant. The food is so so good. They apparently have 5 locations in the greater Toronto area, so a chain i guess, but very much a cared-for project, wherein the staff are very connected to the owners. Lovely staff to go with the food, and they even distill their own gin, which they gave a sample of, and it was fantastic. We told them we hoped they'd expand to Vancouver.

Went back to the new bbq place with some friends. My pic of sides was not really good, but we have smoked chicken fried rice and charro beans. Giant platter for $45. Ribs, chicken, brisket, and pork. Plus guac, pico, and some tomatoes/peppers. It’s a steal.
