    Hold On up close

    Wow!
  • Great show and really still processing it. Always love Release as an opener.  With it being Mother's Day and having lost my Mom almost three years ago, Ed changing the lyrics to be Oh Dear Mom Can you See Me Now hit hard. Then later playing Light Years also caused me to contemplate on the special day/loss. Quite powerful and cathartic. Hold On was a total shocker and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to hear the boot and see the videos on-line of it.

Indifference as a closer was great. Light Years and Satans Bed too.

shame the venue had to cut the lights on so early.

Great show. Crowd seemed really into it, including most people around me near the top of section 105. Solid combo of a strong setlist and good Eddie stories/tributes. It is hard to pick out many highlights because there were so many and I would end up listing damn near the entire setlist, but I particularly liked opening with Release > Present Tense > Given to Fly and then Hold On and everything that followed. Severed Hand was great - they need to play that song a lot more. The encore songs before they got to the standard closing - Smile, Satan’s Bed, and Unthought Known - were also a treat.

It was my 25th show and I took a friend who has seen them a few times, but not since 2018. Overall he enjoyed it a great deal, although he happened to comment on a few songs that he didn’t like, all of which are on Dark Matter. I like the album, but think a couple songs are getting a bit stale, particularly given that there are some good songs on the album that they aren’t playing much. Oh well, I remember thinking the same thing on the 2000 and 2003 tours and now definitely wish they played more from that era.

Sadly this is the only show of the year I will get to, but it was wonderful.

Row A in the Club Level.  Great seats, good people and a great show.  I am a big Smile and Light Years fan.  I loved every second of it and I am going to do everything I can to go tomorrow.

  • So what’s the real count on the times they’ve played Hold On? The stats on the website seem jacked up.

There was some other "Hold On" that was played as a Daughter tag a few times, but not the Hold On from Lost Dogs. (Vs. era b-side I believe)

What a great show! Amazing energy from the band, felt lucky to have GA...felt lucky to be by the people my daughter and I were near in the pit as they were all super nice...and then felt super lucky to experience that setlist and power from the band.
