Amazing night…. Best post covid show I’ve seen them play outside of Philly 1 last year.

I sure hope they play gtg and won't tell in Pittsburgh... Glad to see them keeping it around. I was worried since they don't play them much
Second these two in Pittsburgh.  Only two I haven’t heard from DM.

Sometimes you go to a show, and you're consciously aware that you're just not feeling it quite as much as you have at other shows in the past. But sometimes you go, and you're just in the zone, feeling every moment...even the songs that you're sick of because they play them almost every fucking show. That's what it was like for me last night. I had a blast.

I got Brain of J and Green Disease. And even though I'm not a fan, Got To Give, which finally completed Dark Matter for me. The Watchtower closer was a nice surprise too.

However, I will say, even though I do like Come Back, that was one of the worst setlist placements I've ever seen. Really killed the vibe in the room.

This show was high octane, high energy. My wife and I had a blast. Another Evenflow, but during Mike's solo, I just kept thinking, "I can't get enough of these guys!". Looking forward to night 2. Not sure if they can match the energy they brought N1. Ed sounded fantastic btw.

Show was awesome—vibes felt great from the jump. Got to Give to complete Dark Matter was awesome, and Brain of J into Green Disease into a killer Jeremy was stellar. Crazy that someone had to wait 19 years for Come Back—seen 5 of the last 10 lol. Great song though!

I loved Come Back, but it was very very odd not to have another song before Porch.
It took me a minute to get into Porch. Hard to ramp back up when you’re thinking about lost loved ones.
Absolutely an amazing show. No complaints. Brain Of J into Green Disease was fantastic. And any show you get Porch AND RVM is a win! Loved that Eddie was playing it again, because wasn’t Josh playing a lot of his parts in the song as of late?
Just another observation, I usually don’t mind Ed’s stories, as they usually have a great ending or a point behind it. Really just seemed to be rambling about nothing.

10/10. Would recommend. 2 thumbs up

This one set the bar pretty hight for the rest of the tour. Great energy from the crowd, and the band was tight and spot on. Hoping for the same for N2.

Loved loved loved this show.  Was a blast.  Ed sounded great, the band sounded great and except for a couple of times I didn't really know what was coming next.

    HIghlights for me:

Got to give - completes the album for me and while not my favorite track it sounded great live!
Brain of J - love love love this song
Corduroy - play it every night
Jeremy - unsure why, but I thought this was the best version I've heard in some time.  Really enjoyed the classic
RVM - was a surprise, didn;t expect it and it was awesome.  Reminded me when they used to use it back in 2000? 2003? to close the first set before that became porch every night...

I'm with you my friend. One of the best PJ gigs I've attended (Gorge 2006 will always be my #1). GTG completed DM for me as well, and getting Brain of J was unbelievable (had never seen it live). And I agree...Jeremy was on-point! The band was tight and the audience interaction still gives me chills. Lastly, I don't know what it is, but I'll take Baba O'Riley any day of the week and love when Ed only sings "Don't Cry..." and lets the audience take over from there.

It's going to be hard to top Tuesday's show, but I'm so pumped for tonight I can't contain myself. Hoping for Dissident or Faithful...been chasing those forever. God I love this band.

This was a great show. I had rail in front of Stone. My friend Jason got pulled up on stage by Ed during Brain of J. That was so exciting. Here are some of my photos:

It began with indifference, which was very cool.

At the second song, I felt pure joy. I was in the right place, with people who all had one thing in common: PJ love. I was able to take time away and plan this trip. It wasn't just the caffeine from an excellent 1-shot iced americano from Crema, it was a saturation of happiness.

During Given to Fly, I was clapping with my hands in the air, which is what I do, and I saw my shadow on the backs of the GA people. It was awesome to see. I know there is a poem there, but I don't know it yet.

I am very appreciative of the camera people who walked around. At the end of the show, I saw myself on the big screen. I was part of the "Big Picture" of the show  :)

There were some bittersweet moments. Daughter was played for Laura on her 46th birthday, whose Dad passed away the year before. He supported her Pearl Jam fandom. Also, there was a song in memory of an Australian surfer who died suddenly. It seems like his craft was on par with Kelly Slater, and the surfing community is feeling the loss.

Let's talk about the back screen. During Wreckage, toward the end of the song, it felt like the screen was showing the spread of wildfire, an orange wave, and I was instantly thinking about the recent Los Angeles fires. It was pretty intense.

During Evolution, I looked at the screen during the entire song. There was a display of cruelty and insouciance reflective of the United States' policies of the current Republican Administration. It seemed less a statement about history and more about daily headlines. It was pretty intense.

Let's talk Jeremy. If I remember correctly, as the years go by, and songs are played over and over, the band is sent letters or hears conversations about how the songs affect fans, and the meaning of the songs expands. It not only reflects the emotion of the original song, but also the emotional relevance to strangers and potential friends. I'm thinking about Alive or Black for this idea.

However, with Jeremy, the grief endures. With each tour, there may be at least one new mass shooting at a United States school or church. It is not one person's path, but a city, state, and national path announced on a global stage. The emotion is repurposed and maintains relevancy as it was originally intended. It is a continuously active story.

This is why I wrote earlier that the show was emotionally expansive. Quite the trip! I'm glad I was there.

I let some time pass before posting here. Night 1 came out on top for me, but it had nothing to do with the setlist or the crowd or the performance. Both nights were equally great for me in those regards. I also had fairly similar seats for both nights (sec 115 row N and sec 116 row HH). It really just came down to the anticipation leading up to night 1 and my pregame festivities hitting just right and maintaining right up until it was time to leave the seats

And Nashville didn't disappoint either. Rippy's post show was great, with two bands playing 90s music late into the night.
