listening to Rob on PJ radio a couple days ago, he said the Ohana lineup was a couple weeks away. So, that would be mid-leg of this tour.
Based on previous years, is that a later announcement than usual?
Yea, it's usually mid April.
With the rumor of Green Day being a headliner I think we won’t get an Ohana announcement until after May 8 when the Coachella radius clause ends.
Wait, didn't they already play at Coachella? Why couldn't they announce a show if Coachella already happened?
Bullet 3
I see the point, but the bullet makes no sense. Why would Green Day announcing a show after Coachella is done impact Coachella? Kills the vibes? DVD sales?
Publicizing any performances at competing festivals in California, it’s bordering states and Washington or a headlining concert in Southern California until May 8.
To be fair, so did Green Day when they "accidentally" posted a promo/give away for Ohana tickets. Totally an accident, not at all a way to circumvent this silly contract.
Guess we'll be waiting a couple of weeks for an update.
My instinct is that there’s no more shows or just a few in South America. The merch for these Spring shows is all labelled as “Dark Matter 2025 Tour”. If more shows I would have guessed it would be labelled Spring Tour or US Tour.
My instinct is they are taking a full year off after May and will be back next for Europe in June/July next year.
This. If there were more shows planned and they were just in the "maybe possibly if things work out" stage, I'm sure the merch would be as you said.
I think Ohana is the last holdout...but that might just be EV solo (with or without the Earthlings).
If things were looking hopeful, they'd probably at least say "US 2025" or "Spring 2025".
I've had the "2018/2019" feeling for a while now...enjoy these shows. These could be it for a while. OTOH, when they re-emerge after Pittsburgh (could be a while), the possibility for new music is definitely higher than 1%, given we know they recorded in Australia.
ON THE OTHER HAND... I'd be surprised as all hell if they took the entirety of 2026 off.
What was: 2013 - Lightning Bolt and tour through 2016. 2017 - Relatively quiet year 2018 - South America, announced album and Home/Away Tour 2019 - Break year 2020 - Gigaton released and COVID craziness. 2021 - Beach Shows 2022 - Tour 2023 - Small tour 2024 - Dark Matter
What could have been: 2013 - Album 2018 - Album and tour 2019 - Tour 2020 - Tour? Album? 2021 - Album? 2022 -
2018-2022 really screwed the band's cycle up. The good news? We're past that now.

They sat on DM for over a year. I don’t expect new music until 27 or 28 no matter when it’s finished. They seem to be trying to stretch things out.
On the one hand, it's a shame that they won't be back in Europe until 2026 at the earliest, but it does increase the chance that they'll get away from the fixed, predictable Dark Matter blocks in their setlist. If they also sell their visuals by then, that would be a dream come true. Once again Pearl Jam in its purest and most unpredictable form. I'd even pay their outrageously expensive ticket prices in Europe again for that. Oh, I'd even round it up to 200 euros. Let's see how close I can get to my dream again.

I was kind of disappointed when Europe didn’t happen this year. But if they are having a year long rest, a European tour next year will be fantastic. I imagine they’ll turn up fully energised and raring to go!

2026 it is! I allways love when a band does a non-album tour...it usually mean better setlists. Hoping for Prague or a double date in Stockholm.
After seeing the first two shows, it would be a shame if this leg is the only tour for 2025 with how good the band sounds.
