A song made you cry?

It was song called Indifference by Pearl Jam (live), because it reminded me at how sometimes we can do nothing to make difference in our lives.

especially theese:

I will hold the candle until it burns on my arm...
I will stear at sundown untill my eyes go blind...
I wont change direction, I wont change my mind...

I like poetry very much but I didnt read the song that was so inspired on my like this song.

  • "Release" for many personal reasons. and their version of "Last Kiss" 'cause I just feel something everytime I listen to it.
some words when spoken...can't be taken back

she lived like a murder...but she died. just like suicide...

long road.. a short time after a cousin passed away

    all the friends and family
all the memories going round round round
i have wished for so long
how i wish for you today

off he goes.. no code came out 2 years after a good friend commited suicide.. :(

there he goes with his perfectly unkept clothes
    there he goes...
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    Sleight of Hand . . .

any new realizations would have to wait
til he had more time. . .more time
time to dream to himself...waves goodbye to his own self
see you on the other side
another man moved by sleight of hand. . .

makes me think of my dad, rest his thoughtful soul
    Nice shirt.

  • Light Years in 2003. It made me think of my Aunt Mary. Definitely the first time I had heard the song and really felt its meaning.

The only songs I've cried to are Pillar of Davidson (waaaah!) and Black.

But I get a big, bad feeling in my heart when I hear Sleight of Hand (suicide?), Special Needs (by Placebo) and Bittersweet Symphony.
This puke stinks like beer, and everybody's here, so come on come on come on, let's lay waste to this Century...

i've cried to alot of songs, alot of pearl jam songs....for various reasons, some bigger reasons than others....i just tend to find that music is the way to release my built up sadness and tears....

the most important song for me, actually, there are two or three (PJ ones) and they are:

    lightyears,
    immortality
    indifference,
    nothingman,
    black.....and some others,.....

'Light Years' made me cry when i listened to it after my longtime friend Dutch (a labrador retriever, but still one hell of a great companion) died in Oct. 2003 after 10 years together. Those words really hit me hard.

The new variations of Yellow Ledbetter. I like to run a few miles a day listening to my PJ boots over here. And when I hear the variations where Ed's talking about kids getting killed over here, I can't help but cry. Its a wierd experience, I'm running, sweating and crying at the same time. What a mess! :-)

Throughout the course of our lives,we will meet many great people. Friends, family, strangers who somehow cross your path and enemies; they all have something to teach you. Some will leave deep footprints and others will not. Just be sure to wipe your feet before you step into someone's heart.

    Man Of The Hour

Didn't cry, but I had a lump the size of a Christmas ham in my throat at the end of Big Fish.
Hail, hail the lucky ones, I refer to those in love.

I don't remember what song it was, but I remember crying a bit when I saw them last year. Magic moment.

  • I just love the lyrics for "given to fly"

i am not sure if my interpretation is accurate, But the thought of someone getting thier wings... awww it gives me goose bumps every time especially when eddie hits the high notes. This song could have so many different meanings, and it is such a beautiful thing to think maybe this is what life is like, after death.

A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw
Delivered him wings - "Hey, look at me now"
Arms wide open with the sea as his floor
Oh! He's FLYING! Oh, HIGH! WIDE! Oh...

He floated back down cause he wanted to share
His key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
But first he was stripped, and then he was stabbed
By faceless men, what fuckers... he still stands.

And he still gives his love, he just gives it away
The love he receives is the love that is saved
And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
A human being that was given to fly...
  • i cried today with "Sleight of Hand" in the background..
There's a fear they'll soon be parting ways.

    abragadabra milk life...
    we love you.
  • I am mine..It was just one day I hadn't anything to do in school, so I went out for a while all by myself to think, and suddenly, the lyrics in the song just stricked me, and I was like, WOW! this song is amazing, so I started to cry, not so much, but a bit...

many of the other songfs that made me cry too (or at least a little lump in my throat), like love boat captain, last kiss (the song is so sad, and It's not written in this typical PJ way, but when Eddie starts doing all these uuhs and ahhs it sounds like he experienced it himslef, and that makes me cry, the tought of someone that lose their friends in that way.. so tragic..)..
