Nowhere “famous”. Nice little place a few blocks away from me called Rocky and Nicky’s. Classic round pie. I’m ashamed to admit I had 5 slices.

You should be ashamed. Anything less than 7 is unacceptable.

Crust is where it's at. I have great pizza here in nj. One specific place is just miles above the rest because of crust.

I'm sure the sauce was superior on the NY one.  The out of towner pizzas never get it right.

I haven't visited this thread in awhile. Recently tried my hand at some Detroit style pizza.

Thanks Wob! The cheesy crust could have used an extra minute or two. Otherwise, pretty good! 2nd only to my favorite - Brown Dog in Telluride, CO

OMG! OMG! OMG! I haven't had pizza in over two years because of a medically prescribed diet. Yesterday, I had a tomato pie, and the restaurant didn't add extra oil after it was baked, and they didn't add anything. It was dough and sauce, it was a new life! It was a beautiful day, and I finally had a pizza! Life, life is good! I'm going back, that's for sure.

Did I ever tell you my pizza story? I probably did, but here it is. When I was a little over 12 months old, I loved pizza. I loved it so much that one time I forgot to breathe, and I fainted.

It hasn't happened since, but my love of pizza has not faltered. Can anything be more perfect?

Glad to see you back. Enjoy every moment. Old school tomato pies have no cheese.
