Deep dish spinach is outstanding!
Peppers, mushrooms and onions is our go to. Along with a grandma pie to have leftovers. We skip the meat most of the time as it gets too greasy and my stomach says no to pepperoni. I am too old to eat that stuff! There is a local place that makes a sopressata pie with hot honey. It is delicious but I pay for it after eating. I dig the deep dish with sausage when in Chicago. It gets a bad rap, but it's good. Even if it takes an hour to get your food and you take half of it home.
Yep. My kids love wings, and we have a great place not too far away. They do not seem to bother me. Basically deli meats other than turkey and chicken are a no for me. No more fried food, which means no more parmigianas, cutlets, onion rings, or calamari. And I rarely get food at events unless I am starving. Can't remember the last cheeseburger I had. But I am told it is ok to get a hot dog with sauerkraut since it is fermented LOL. Back to pizza, we keep it simple, most times with no meat. And hey if you enjoy a Hawaiian or a salad pizza, no judging. I have had some good "flatbreads" with innovative toppings. Black olives, sun dried tomatoes, arugula, and even sardines. But it is not pizza.
Anyway, I fucking love hotdogs. But after my heart issues I was told to limit my hotdog intake to maybe 1 every 2 months. Ugh
But hotdogs, as I have aged, are one of those foods that I will certainly "pay for", if I have one. They destroy my stomach.Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....0 -

Agreed. Or an 55+ thread. Hot dogs got me through COVID. We need a hot dog thread. And it is ok to have ketchup. Do what you like.0 -

Are you pointing out that im gorging on a meat travaganza then think a diet cola is gonna save my ass?? Thats not the logic behind it, again for me its preferred taste0 -
Its not. There are some days when an ice cold coke zero and a slice hits the spot. I maybe drink 4 sodas a year. If I drink a Dr. Pepper it is not diet. Too bad the chili dog spot near the capitol theater moved. Two dogs and a Dr. Pepper were perfect after a show.0

Texas chili. They moved from a dumpy place around the corner of the cap to a more fancy place on main st. Not walkable depending in your state of mind. The other place was Hubbas, which I have never been to but may be on the radar for the next cap show.0 -

I'd give that a go. A nice colorful crunch.
Pizza thread people.
How about a nice slice with a little captain crunch? Apple Jacks?
