Switch 2 is now delay due to tariffs.   My wallet is a little light from recently getting the Lego bug so this may be a blessing.
Just the pre-order date!  Release date remains the same.
Right, because they need time to figure out how much more they have to jack up the price.

I see a lot of people are upset that the new Mario Kart is $80 ($90 for physical).  But before discussing the merits of capitalism, is time for a trip down memory lane ...  the year was 1995 ....

Sony should actually get some credit for dropping the game price "standard" to $40 when the PlayStation came out.

I remember Street Fighter II coming out in 1992 and calling Toys R Us and getting my parents to drive me to the big city so I could buy it for $90.  That said, I hope this is not the standard going forward, but if they knock a game out of the park I don't have a problem.

Fast forward 30 years and Sony is being sued for allegedly keeping digital game prices artificially high, again.

That said that is a cool ad. 1995 I was buying Saturn games.
I had a Saturn too.  Man, I was so hopeful that system would become something.  I think I had a total of maybe 5-6 games for it, and only 3 were probably "good".

Anyone playing the new Assassin's Creed?  I've been playing it a lot and am having a good time.  The voice acting is pretty terrible and the story is "ok", but it's pretty cool to be able to play two different characters with vastly different play styles in a giant open world.

I tried AC Odyssey for about 20 hours when it came out.  Seemed like an XP slog and it didn’t help that Ubisoft had Day 1 DLC to give you an XP boost add-on to make the game “more enjoyable”.  Not sure if they still do that or not but that turned me off from the series.  I did try Vahalla for a few hours when I got it for free but it seemed frustrating instead of fun … it did look cool.  I hope Shadows is fun for those playing.

My brother preordered the Switch 2 bundle for 640 dollars, while other stores had it for 770 dollars. Like not even 5 minutes after his purchase had gone through, that webstore also upped it to 770 dollars. So even with it being faaaaaar too expensive, it was still a "steal".

Yikes. If I ever get one, it will be when visiting like Germany or something an can pick it up there for 550 dollars or whatever it costs down in Europe.

Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV remake may drop at any moment according to rumors!  I no longer have a need for a Switch 2 ... unless this game only drops on Switch 2 ... hmm

I hated Odyssey.  That was the one where you had to sail around right?  If so...fn hated it!
Valhalla was ok.  Very repetitive and the game glitched a lot!  Quests wouldn't work like they should, and sometimes if you didn't (or couldn't) complete a quest, you couldn't complete the ones after it...messing up the whole story.  That and game save issues caused me to have to repeat a lot of stuff.
Haven't had any real issues with Shadows except for the horrible voice acting.  haha

Now I have a cart that allows me to play games from other regions and burnt discs. Japan got so many fighting games!

The racing game probably has some DRM music rights or a car manufacturer rights that expired so the Microsoft bricked the game.  Old licensed sports games are the same … I tried playing NCAA football and Tiger Woods and no dice.  Maybe resetting the system and not logging in would work if you want to try that (or google).  That is part of the reason I went digital (that and it is sooo much more convenient along with most “new” games require a 80 GB day one update)

I’m still not sure what is going on with Nintendo pre-orders, but my hype for the Switch 2 is down.  They could have called it the “Switch Pro” and released it a few years ago.  I must agree that this system is the most un-Nintendo system created in quite some time (lacks innovation), but a safe bet for the company.  Doesn’t help that there was 2 years of hype for the system

Probably the worst launch Nintendo has had with lack of info and high prices for games although it will still sell out (I will be one of the rubes getting one if presented opportunity).

I tried to double back and play that after Fallout 3.  It was fun, but seemed quite a bit outdated already.  I didn't like how there was a sliding difficulty scale you can adjust at any time.  With an older game it was too tempting to just advance..  fallouts and Skyrim you get into those tough situations with tough enemy(s) and maybe limited life and supplies.  You have to spam save and try a number of different strategies to get out of it.

    Going to try this version

Oblivion Remake is pretty amazing looking.   Just about to escape the sewers to see the open world when I play next.

Since I was up, I tried seeing if I can get a Switch 2.  Have one in my cart on Target, but the site is crashed and burning.  Best Buy either sold out in 1 second or they are crashed as well.  Fuck it dude, let's go bowling.

So far the glitches haven't been too bad for me. A few missing Oblivion gates and my character's shadows are only quiver and shield.
Nighttime lighting glitches - small pockets of daylight everywhere?
