President Trump’s Tariff Formula Makes No Economic Sense. It’s Also Based on an Error.

Do I openly support Iraq and their "culture", when being against your war criminal country buddy W Bush starting a war against the country and murdering thousands of civilians?

Thanks for joining in. My comment was influenced by repeatedly being mocked and shouted down on this forum, something that is done overwhelmingly against non far left views here. It’s about repeated comments glorifying the rights of one side in a terrible war, accusations of supporting genocide for wanting a lasting peace, and fear my party will continue on its path to obscurity with continued far left views. If that attack on non leftist views is not common practice on amt, please identify all the maga posters and what happened to them.

regarding Iraq and 2003 public opinion was overwhelming in support at the start, at about 70% for the Iraq war IIRC. I was part of the 30%.

How do you know the party is moving left, rather than the left just being the most vocal cohort of Democrats?

The party as a whole doesn't have far left views. There are left voices in the party, but they are not the majority. and for the pubic, those that far left don't support the democrats. So don't worry too much.

Honestly, they got banned for being toxic, misogynistic, racist, or just plain aggressively trolly. They were voices posting not in good faith, and with purposeful intention to just irritate. then when the loud obnoxious ones went, the rest didn't have the balls to step up, proving that their posting was not in good faith. can't even stand up and argue for what they believe.

Can we stick with the topics of the AMT threads instead of spending so much time arguing with people with a martyr complex.  Jimminny Cricket, we're ALL victims of the current move toward tyranny and oligarchy.  Instead, we should all be talking about how to defend freedom and Democracy.  There is no "village".  There's us, and there's the mega rich.

We were so lucky to have him. I miss having someone so well spoken leading our nation.

When I say my political party has gone too far on the Hamas issue my general concern is the support for Hamas, what that group represents, and the culture within their population that they enhance, including how they treat women and other people.

Regarding the detainments, I have significant concerns with some of these detainments. I really want to know what these people did. And if they’re on a student visa my understanding is They don’t get much leeway. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m willing to watch the due process to find out
Which political party is supporting Hamas?

There’s less leeway on a student visa, but yeah, the focus has been on due process this whole time.

Exactly zero parties support hamas. Absurd.

But if he says it enough times, it becomes true. Similar to the great high school litter box epidemic.

The recent visit by Vice President JD Vance, his wife, Usha, and the national security adviser Michael Waltz to the U.S. military base in Greenland may have been met with a cold shoulder, but it did produce at least one hot item.

The week before the Vances' arrival, Aannguaq Reimer-Johansen, a consultant at KNI, a trading conglomerate in Greenland, posted a photo on his Facebook page of what looked like a bright red MAGA hat. Only, instead of the usual "Make America Great Again" in white letters, Mr. Reimer-Johansen's cap read "Make America Go Away."

It touched a nerve — and not just locally. The hats ended up on "The Daily Show" and "The View." Across social media, the general reaction was "I want one." Tina Brown compared it to "the French Resistance on ice," thus connecting the red cap to the "bonnets rouges" of the French Revolution.

Why doesnt it say ”make the american government go away”

One young guy that got banned made mistakes posting and was brutal, there was another, teske, was a good poster. I’ve reread their last 20 or so posts, the best guess is teske got banned for making a joke about liberals and pony tails. Their trend often was discussing with each other the success of Rs and then get brigaded with attacks like how can you vote for a rapist and a crim. From the left that appears normal. From the center, not so much. But…they are all…gone… I get mocks and ridicule like that regularly.

there seems to be a trend of which views lead to repercussions. I see a type of brigading on this forum, and I don’t think that’s debatable. But I will always strive to post better, and limit mistakes.

regarding those claiming above that the left has not moved so far left. On the two main issues I ramble about a lot on here, I absolutely do not recall democrats being like this over ten years ago on any topic like these. Perhaps it coincides with “factions” like the squad taking shape in the House, a group of reps often one sided and dishonest with the public. IMO.

I’ve done a lot of reading and watching of non dem sources since the election, which is difficult. Because on that side of politics it’s 90% dishonest. But on these two topics, when it pertains to middle America, their POV is overwhelmingly on point.

Most of the posts that get someone banned get deleted.

    But you knew that.

The idea that the left has moved further left is absurd.  Based on the posting of a handful of people on a rock band's fan site?  Based on the fact that they support the rights of trans people (the only relatively newer issue today)?   Based on the fact that they are outraged that instead of a Democracy, we live in an oligarchy ruled by tyranny?
    WTF?
