10 characters and a 50 second wait to post again.... but we shouldn't complain, at least the board is back!!!
  • the 9/11 tribute of long road was pretty emotional

I watched that the night it was aired, and just about lost it. So freakin beautiful...one of my favorite PJ songs ever, and maybe the best I've heard it played...

    Some others:
'I'm Still Here' (c'mon why do you think I chose the s/n?)
    'Parting Ways'
the 1st time I heard 'Black' played w/keyboards in concert
'Yellow Ledbetter' (mostly the guitar...Mike kills me everytime)
    'Fatal'
    'Angel'
Ed's Royce Hall show from '02
    'Trouble' (a Cat Stevens cover)
    'I Got Shit'
'Man of the Hour' (was @ the theater watching Big Fish first time I heard it)
    and 'Footsteps' of course.
    etc.,etc.,etc.

Ahhh yes, another 2 that must be on my list as well. Especially the Parting Ways from 7 Worlds Collide with Neil Finn. :o Wow. Chills and tears for sure. Speaking of 7 Worlds Collide, not really a Pearl Jam song but Ed's version of Stuff and Nonsense on there seriously rips my heart out. Talk about tears.

Aww and Angel. What a gorgeous song. This part always makes me tear up...

"Mind is not a celestial state with idle hymns of praise
Time is short I have an appointment at noon at noon in Hell
Across the waste of space and fields of air I glide alone at night
Oh please please think of me 'cause I'm I'm by your side
I'm by your side I'm by your side oh
I'm I'm right in front of you I'm by your side"

    Gorgeous!

Yes, lots of excellent lists going on here. I feel it too. :)

Some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written...and Ed sings the f-ck out of it until it just grabs your heart and stomps it to death.

    goodbye! that's it.

I was at the OKC show and Mike blew a string or carb or something and ed grabbed the uke! He fiddled around a little while trying to decide what to play and started a little broken hearted but I don't think he could remember it and moved on to Happy Birthday. DAMN

I wish I could hear him play any of those live...that would be sweet...'Goodbye' or 'Longing to Belong' preferrably...
