They are making new Mr Show! The news I have waited for the last 16 years or so!

Confirmed by Odenkirk
http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/02/bob-odenkirk-explains-mr-show-reunion-is-about-mak.html
In a recent interview with The A.V. Club promoting his new show Better Call Saul, which will be airing its first episode this Sunday, Bob Odenkirk addressed the Mr. Show reunion tweet that Paul F. Thompkins posted at the end of 2014. Turns out, it isn’t a Mr. Show reunion, but it isn’t exactly not one either.
“We’re not going to do a Mr. Show reunion—I mean, not called ‘a Mr. Show reunion,’” said Odenkirk. “However, we are working on new sketches and a new show together. And we want to do multiple episodes of it.”
Odenkirk admits that they are limited in the time they have, with David Cross working on season 3 of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, Odenkirk himself involved with Better Call Saul and all the other writers focused on their own respective projects. But the group has gotten solid work in, with two group writing sessions under their belt so far, and seem determined to continue forward with the project, with Odenkirk explaining, “I can’t wait to make stuff and share it with everybody. So right now we don’t know where it’s going to play. We just don’t know. But we’re trying to nail it down quick. We’re talking to people now and everybody knows how fast we have to move on this. Because people have jobs and they have to know what they’re going to do in February and March.”
“Not only is this group of writers great together, they’ve all gotten better by leaps and bounds from when we first wrote,” continues Odenkirk. “When you have a good room, that’s a special thing, and rare. And I think they all appreciate that. Maybe that was one of the best rooms I’ll have ever worked in as far as talented people challenging each other and also having a lot of fun. And so we’re all happy to be back together.”

Mr show was a sketch comedy show on HBO in the late 90s. It was cut short by hbo after 4 seasons. Has a cult following because it is imo some of the most genius comedy and satire ever created.FoxyRedLa said:I thought this was about The Big Show

Good to see this thread get a bump. In retrospect, those episodes did not live up the hype. Then again what would tho

You mean the Netflix ones, right? There were some great parts, but yeah, overall not enough.Jearlpam0925 said:Good to see this thread get a bump. In retrospect, those episodes did not live up the hype. Then again what would tho0 -
I've never seen this (or really heard of it). Never had HBO though.

I thought the netflix ones were great.
Apparently they had a TV show lined up ready for production where Bob and David were leaders of opposing cults. That sounds like a riot but it got denied at the last second.0 -
The skit where Cross is the convenience store attendant and the one where he plays the kid that tried to kill himself in a vat of acid are fucking hilarious.
I need to rewatch the Netflix episodes. I honestly don't remember liking them too much but now I wonder if I saw all of themRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

They arent quite as strong as a lot of the old stuff (what ever is?). But there are some great moment and ideas.
Also, they had a skit/episode banned/pulled. Was possibly the best skit. The traffic stop/cop one.0 -
David Cross has a show called “The increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margret”. Very funny show!0

There are too many great moments to list, but I loved the transitions. Take the Titannica/vat of acid sketch. That was preceded by the guy going to interview for the lawyer job: "Do you really think court cases are decided by judges and juries making decisions based on evidence and lawyers' arguments? Danny, court cases are decided by a series of blowjobs." Then they do the quick montage of the doctor, priest, and prostitute all saying the same thing. Gets me every time.Gern Blansten said:The skit where Cross is the convenience store attendant and the one where he plays the kid that tried to kill himself in a vat of acid are fucking hilarious.

The obvious ones are the pre-taped call-in show and "The Audition". Genius.
Fairsley/Gibbons markets was excellent too. The Story of The Story of Everest, Peanut Butter Eggs and Dice, The Civil War Reenactment of the reenactment, "Oh You Men", Globochem Ad Campaign, Worthington's Law. Honestly can go on all day0 -
Exactly, I could quote lines for hours. “I am the only preacher with the fucking balls”…”here’s your fucking lemonade, asshole!” Great music too, from “The Joke: The Musical” to “Rap the Musical” to Three Times One Minus One. Damn.MayDay10 said:
