Can't sell my tickets for Pittsburgh, May 18, 2025

I am a Canadian who doesn't want to visit the USA right now, for obvious reasons.  I just went through hell with Ticketmaster trying to set everything up to sell my tickets.  I kept dealing with a persistent error whenever I tried to sell the tickets.  I had already talked to 5 or 6 agents over a few days.  Then the last agent I spoke with suddenly told my I couldn't sell my tickets at all.  I read the fine print when I bought the tickets, the only stipulation was that I would need a bank account in the USA for payment if I needed to sell the tickets.  There was NOTHING about not being able to sell them, only that I could only sell them for face value.  I also knew I couldn't transfer them.  I was told to "keep checking" as the date got closer to see if I was allowed to sell.  There is nowhere on the TM site that mentions I can't sell these tickets.  All of the documentation on the site states that if they can't be sold, you will get a notice saying as much right after you click the "Sell Tickets" button. This is such a waste.  I get that PJ wants to control ticket prices for 10 club users, but now it's causing me to waste over $500CAD.

Are you sure you have your U.S. banking information put in. Also, you may need some other information. I know in the U.S. we have to give our tax information. Perhaps you are just missing some paperwork. You definitely are allowed to sell. Can someone from Canada help this person.

Earlier this week the system wouldn’t let me sell tickets.  Rather than reach out to one of the useless TM agents, I decided to wait a couple of days and try again.  The second time, it worked.  So try again tomorrow….

People are listing tickets still all the time.  I know Canadians need like a Wise account or something based in the US for it to be able to go through.  It sounds pretty straightforward but will let others who have had to go that route chime in on the process.  When trying to sell you may have to do it from a computer browser version as others have had issues with the app version.

OK, I was finally able to sell my tickets on TM last night.  I updated my payment option (not payout option) on TM to PayPal, kept clicking the second SMS validation link until it finally sent me a code.  Then I was able to sell the tickets.  Thanks for all the advice and support.  This was a difficult decision.
