No kidding, just the Trump bump combined with the already improving inflation and the market would’ve been hitting new all time highs. Instead it’s down 10% from ATH in only a month, prices are likely to increase, unemployment will be up and alliances are fractured. At least they could spare some time to turn the White House into a Tesla showroom.

If he didn’t start with these stupid tariffs, he could’ve taken credit for the better than expected inflation reading, lower than expected wholesale price reading, the market likely would’ve continued its climb. Such a bad move.

    and so on brand....

I'm glad my wife is an optimist, because I am feeling royally fucked.  My life got knocked off the rails when I was 42 years old.  I lost everything except what I could fit in the van I lived in for a few years.  Once I got my life put back together, I worked my ass off, budgeted like crazy, got remarried to my amazing wife, and we build a life together, even going as far as being able to buy a modest house and put some money into saving and investments.  Now, after all that hard work (and being to goddamn old to do it over again), the fucking billionaires are fucking it all up.  And worst of all, Democracy is- at the best- on the ropes.
    What a fucking life.

Thank you DE.  I appreciate your kind words.  Thankfully, I inherited my old man's stubborn nature.  I never give up hope or stop trying.  Unfortunately, I guess I inherited a bit of his crankiness as well...

In North Dakota, many farmers are still recovering from the 2018 trade war and are now bracing for more losses as President Trump levies sweeping tariffs on everything from soybeans to pork.

I’m sure there’s no regrets for voting MAGA. Everyone needs to bleed a little for the betterment of the nation and with their faith in god, they’ll manage.

Great news. Canada is slashing its order of F-35 fighters from 88 to not more than 32. It will re-invest the billions saved to purchase 60 or more Swedish Saab Gripen E/F-39's. The USA is no longer a trustworthy ally. Canada will be focussing its accelerated military investments on partnerships with European and South Korean allies. You can thank Trump for awakening Canada to the fact that the USA cannot be trusted.

I guess the question is, from here, does the world try to replace these cooperative agreements between nations, or does everyone follow the isolationist approach the States have pivoted to?

So when Russia or china attacks Canada they will want Sweden to defend them? Good luck.

Moreso taken aback by the anti American comments in your post. Sure I am not a fan of Donnie, but that doesn’t mean every conservative idea is a bad one.

As the arctic continues to melt, Canada will have its hands full holding that TRADE ROUTE with Russia and china, and to think they will not need American help is absurd. Also there is conservative concern that the USA should have full influence on all trade Atlantic to pacific to Asia, that there should be no gap between Alaska and Seattle.

What does Panama Greenland and Canada have in common, key transit point in that route? But try to discuss with Canada and you get mocked by our far more intelligent neighbors.

    ..
interesting from that cbc article “ Miller also addressed online misinformation that suggested the F-35s have a so-called "kill switch" that could turn off aircraft belonging to allies — or hobble their capabilities, should the U.S. government order the company to do so.

I said I was taken aback by your anti American comments. I did not question your right to say it. If anything, leftists on this forum attack anything and everything that does not fit into their leftist mantra.

For example, I do not support trumps annexation ambitions, but it’s worth discussing politely and intelligently. Something that seems to be impossible on this forum.

*Above, you completely ignored the substance of my comment to attack me the poster. this is not how AMT is supposed to operate, but it does, repeatedly and predictably.. Wonder why.
