Unplugged 2.0

Do you think the band would ever do another Unplugged show with some of the rest of the catalog?
That performance with its unique approach to bringing out the most in those early songs would be so intense with a song like Gone or All those Yesterdays.
if they need a venue, The Vic was home for another fairly iconic performance. Let’s just get me in the door.
Thoughts?

They did, I highly recommend listening to Live at Benaroya Hall.  They also did a few opening acoustic sets, state college, gorge 05, santa barbara (04?).

I'd love to see them do an acoustic tour though.  Would be awesome :)

    Oh, me too.
  • Okay. 3.0
Makes my point even stronger as Benaroya was an all time evening as well.
its been 20 years and they have added so much to the options for an acoustic setlist.
Still hoping to see it happen again.

I don't know that I would want a tour of 2 hour acoustic shows.  When they do the slow starts at shows, by the middle of song 3 I'm ready for them to break out Go or Animal.

Id take an unplugged 3 night residency or is that just being greedy?

This has been a long time dream of mine as well. Would LOVE to see a stripped down PJ show.

Closest I’ve come are the EV shows and the openers for the last few tours. (Start slow and rock out from there).

Will something like this be done at one of the Hollywood shows coming up? This venue is perfect for it. A capacity of 7,500 makes it a very intimate setting.

Same. If they could do another 7/11/03 like show, that would be sweet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7/11/03_–_Mansfield,_Massachusetts

  • Liam Gallagher did a MTV Unplugged just a few years ago. So somehow it is still an active concept.

I wouldn't mind a symphony show in the vein of Metallica's S&M, Collective Soul's Home or even the Mad Season thing Mike did several years ago.

I think I see where the idea is at, and if done right, would be cool. Especially with some of the more recent album tracks. But the concept on paper is not something aligned to their aesthetics. So, I don't see MTV Unplugged 2, or symphony orchestra happening.

Me too. Couldn't hurt to try.
