Listened to a few bootlegs from 1974 and 1975 as well...besides cocaine, what else was he on to get to the vocal range he had? Even the end of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, he never did live cause he probably just couldn’t, but how did he sing that high in the studio?!2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20

The one album they made was pretty solid!
The first six albums with the original line up are obviously the pinnacle, but I really like a lot of the later stuff too. Yeah, you can debate whether it's truly Sabbath or not, but Iommi is always there, an almost endless well of great riffs and songwriting.Post edited by EdLaw onAnd I planted my bolo knife in the neck of mad John Finn. I took his wretched life.
Now I'm over near the bandstand, every hand moving on John Finn's wife...0 -

Blasted The Writ and Megalomania on my way into work this morning. Wanted to bump this. I am so sad I didn’t get to see them on The End tour2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20

Honestly I kind of was feeling bad I actually fell asleep at the 90s Dio Black Sabbath reunion show. Mainly smoke induced after a long day of work. But went back and watched it and a few songs were awesome, but mostly was boring.
No disrespect to RJD,Tommy, Geezer and whoever the drummer was. Maybe bill ward? His live guitar playing becomes a tiny bit redundant at that show in particular.
Yes I still regret not being well rested & sharp minded to truly appreciate the legends in front of me.
That Sabatoge album is mind numbingly fantastic.
Sure The End tour would have been great, but maybe better off not knowing what you missed. If that makes any sense you are as crazy as me!
Lot's of Ozzy screaming let's go crazy! Are we crazy or what?! I love you all!
My sleep deprived 2 cents.
If you listen to fool's...

I remember Deep Purple released Perfect Strangers not too long after Born Again. Another good album from that time period.
I saw Gillan with Deep Purple a few years ago in Indy. He still sounds great.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Just to piggy back on Sabotage…Ozzy sounds like Plant at the end of Symptom, some great vocals…Thrill of it All is so underrated. That “Yeaaauhhh” after the first main riff is so fucking great 😆Post edited by HailHailVitalogy on2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20 -

I’ll stop after this, but I just read my original post. I don’t think there’s ever been a band or artist that has even come close to giving me that feeling as the first week…shit first 3 months of “discovering” all of Ozzy’s Sabbath2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2 | 2025: Florida x2, Atlanta x2, Pittsburgh x20

So funny^ same. I backed into sabbath. From Dio backwards.
Once I started finding out ozzy sabbath was more than iron man my mind was blown. This also intersected with my experimental mind altering substance phase. A match made in [hell] heaven.
Slowly entered ozzy sabbath when I found their 1st record for 10 bucks in a music store. They were all cd store, but had a couple leftover used crates of vinyl. That record had a slightly different track list than cd. Forget what additional song that is on the wax.
Then picked up Sabotoge cd and SBS Master of Reality V4. Never say die got later on wax. Technical E too on lp. I might have gave that one away.
Recentlyish, I scored a lot of there stuff on vinyl and it really is like hearing it all over again. The depth and tones go so deep.
Anyway thx for bumping this and unearthing all these great memories attached to the music and that time in my life.0 -
