    Nothing too surprising in the study released about the rise in pitchers getting injured, but looking at those numbers the last 20 years is staggering. It sucks to try and be a successful pitcher in today's baseball world. The league wants to favor hitting because higher scores and more homers bring in the revenue.

    If you pitch, they want you to throw w demon speed.  We have discussed this.  Players like Maddux aren't looked at anymore.

    If you have a kid, teach him to throw a knuckle ball.  Teach him to master it.  He will have a 20 year career in the MLB.

    I could watch his at bats for hours specially the lead off at bats to start the game

    As an A's fan this really sucks. His off field personality was as entertaining as watching him run the bases. One of a kind for sure.

    I just wish he would have admitted he used steroids before he passed. MLB and the HOF’s self righteousness would be pretty evident if Piazza, Pudge and/or Bagwell would just say, “guess what!”

    Corbin Burnes to Arizona. 6 years 218 million. Yanks look smart for getting Fried for close to same money at 8 years. Good for Arizona. Need to load up to compete in that division. I give them credit for trying. 

    I do think it’s a really bad contract, objectively.
