    I'll just make a blanket post rather than reply to everyone individually about lodging. If you are coming for more than one night, I recommend NOT staying in the downtown area and/or near State Farm Arena.  

    The food and drink options in Midtown (first) and Buckhead (second) are well worth the hassle of taking MARTA (our "metro") or Uber. If you can spring for an AirBnB in VA Highlands, that's great too (no hotels there--except maybe the Clermont  ). If you are just flying in for one night for a show, then go for it. But if you're staying for 2-4 nights, I highly recommend staying in either of the 3 areas above.

    Nothing wrong with it at all.

    He just means that it is more interesting from a food/bar perspective if you stay in Decatur, Virginia Highlands, Midtown, or maybe Buckhead.

    You’ll be fine by the arena and directly across from the aquarium, college football HOF, civil rights museum and more.

    Its just a preference of what you want around you.
