[Sorry for the double post. I'm not sure which Atlanta thread to post this in.]
I'll just make a blanket post rather than reply to everyone individually about lodging. If you are coming for more than one night, I recommend NOT staying in the downtown area and/or near State Farm Arena.
The food and drink options in Midtown (first) and Buckhead (second) are well worth the hassle of taking MARTA (our "metro") or Uber. If you can spring for an AirBnB in VA Highlands, that's great too (no hotels there--except maybe the Clermont
). If you are just flying in for one night for a show, then go for it. But if you're staying for 2-4 nights, I highly recommend staying in either of the 3 areas above. 0 -
Any thoughts on staying at the American Hotel by Hilton in the Fairlie District?gtwake360 said:[Sorry for the double post. I'm not sure which Atlanta thread to post this in.]

Staying walking distance from Truist Park. Guessing it’s gonna be a hassle to uber back there after the shows but hope it’ll pay off for the rest of the week’s activities.0

Plan carefully for your show time arrival. Traffic to and from Truist and Statefarm could stretch into the hour or two hour range. Do not let the actual mile distance fool you. Traffic is an absolute bear! Of the grizzly variety.ekwipt said:Staying walking distance from Truist Park. Looks like a couple blocks from Centennial Park? Super good spot. That will be easy walking.JOEJOEJOE said:

Definitely also try Decatur. Great eating and easy Marta access. You’ll have to transfer one time, but easy.gtwake360 said:[Sorry for the double post. I'm not sure which Atlanta thread to post this in.]

VA Highlands is great. Bars, a bookstore, ice cream and gelato, plus Pielands pizza 😋.
And yes, get a room at the Clermont! 😂 🤪 (But, don’t. I’m joking.)0 -
If you're staying for one night and want to walk to the venue, it should be good! But it's a little far from all the other areas. Of course you can always take Uber or MARTA to the other areas if you prefer.JOEJOEJOE said:

If you head down from The Battery (Truist Park area) early, you'll be good. There's plenty of places to pregame near State Farm Arena. So head down at 2:00 or 3:00 and you're golden! There's a biergarten (however you spell those things), a place called Tap, Park Bar, and several other places close by. Food options aren't as good--at least not compared to other parts of town. But something has to give!ekwipt said:

We always stay pretty close to Ponce City Market. Walking distance to just about everything great.CarryTheZero said:

Edit: The Clermont hotel is awesome and very nice! The restaurant is extremely nice, and got to love the rooftop bar.

Meh…I don’t like looking for a ride after shows when I’m having drinks. I booked an 11 minute walk back to my room. Plus multiple things I wanna visit are all a few blocks away. Checkout on the 2nd then a room for the weekend by Truist for baseball and easy access to the airport Sunday.gtwake360 said:[Sorry for the double post. So I looked it up. I’m not sure. It is across the interstate from the old Braves stadium. I never venture over there. It’s walkable to State Farm I think, but you will have to cross the interstate at some point. I’m not sure how that area is or how walkable. Maybe someone else knows about it?marcPJfan said:How is Mechanicsville neighborhood to stay in?0 -
Yea, i don't venture over that way much so i can't have too strong of an opinion but you may want to be careful. It probably depends on what side of mechanicville you are onCarryTheZero said:

Anyone know if Braves single game tix have gone on sale yet? TM has some available for that weekend but not many great options. My assumption is they haven’t but any help is appreciated. Thinking Friday night since an early morning flight Sunday means no drinks Saturday night. If only they had a day game on Saturday. Thanks. I’ll keep Airbnb as a backup for now and look for something better. It’s 2 miles from venue so about 20-25 min using public transportation.CarryTheZero said:
