As a teacher, these middle of week shows is getting old

Fortunately for a majority of us, we don't work during the middle of the week and the middle of the week shows are wildly convenient!

How solid is Hollywood over other FL cities?

Welcome to the forums. Given the sources, I'd say pretty solid. Will be a tough ticket to get, for sure.

The Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL is a very small venue for a band like PJ especially given their usual penchant for playing at arenas & baseball stadiums. The only larger venues in the area for them to play at would be Amerant Arena in Sunrise where the Panthers hockey play; the arena where the Miami Heat play (name escapes me); Baseball stadium for the Marlins; and the Hard Rock Stadium where the Dolphins play.

And some of us are self employed... take off when we want (but sadly don't get paid for time off) pros & cons

    This sounds pretty good?! 👍
PS. Hilton Nashville (next to Bridgestone arena) sold out that week in May, just checked …
This would put them in the area for Boston Calling May 23-25 especially if they squeezed in another stop. Maybe that's where Canada fits?
If this list is accurate, then it makes financial sense for the band for there to be 1-2 festivals somewhere in the mix.  Having 4 days off between Atlanta and Nashville makes no sense unless something like JazzFest is scheduled there

If these dates are right I’d be very surprised if they weren’t at Jazz fest

As a teacher, don’t you mean these middle of week shows are getting old?

Science teacher too. And feel the same. But wouldn’t most jobs? Most people work M-F and a lot of people travel to see this band. Both Atlanta and Nashville are about 3 hour drives. But I will have to take off 2 days to make each show! So out of 4 shows that are relatively close, I’ll make maybe 1. Make it a Friday/Sunday and I’d make them all.

As with most bands....they don't make their schedules to make out-of-town fans happy.....

They should come to more centrally located Orlando.  The Magic's Kia Center holds 20K...same as Heat and Panthers.

I stand corrected on all non festival dates being 2 days. Apologies. I honestly thought 1 day stops were typical each tour for multiple reasons.
  • I saw someone commenting that April in Florida is the High Point for storms and tornado season. As someone who’s lived in this area for a decade, I can guarantee that both of those things are false. We don’t even have a tornado season and especially not near Miami.

FYI there are dozens of close hotels near the arena in Pittsburgh.

As someone who works at the Kia center, I would probably die if this happened

They said the South, not Florida. And for the cities in the South (Atlanta, Raleigh, Nashville) they are correct.

Exactly. Middle of the week makes it harder for me as well, especially since I'm in the northeast and the semester ends early May. Make them weekend shows and I'll be able to fly in Thursday or Friday and still be in the classroom Monday.
