    EDDIE VEDDER of PEARL JAM opens up the encore of their Melbourne night 1 concert by sharing how nice it’s been to catch up with friends they haven’t seen in a long time. Then tells about EB Research Partnership, an important charity that he and his wife Jill Vedder are passionate about and very involved in raising charitable funds for finding a cure! Then EV introduces former Australian Rules Football legend Jonathan Brown who is also volunteering in the effort to spread the word about this debilitating skin disease that affects children. Eddie then performs a wonderful rendition of JUST BREATHE at Marvel Stadium in MELBOURNE at their 11/16/24 concert. (16 NOV 2024) Filmed using an iPhone 16 Pro from the GA pit in 4k at 60 fps (highest video quality possible with the iPhone 16 Pro).

    Scorcher in Melbourne today, just after 11:30 and hotter than last Saturday already, cool change coming with rain and wind so wouldn’t have good show conditions today / tonight. Hoping Sydney is getting some great weather to finish this amazing tour.

    It’s 32 where we live, but it’ll be around 28 in the city. Dropping to 24-ish when PJ take the stage. Just right!

    There's a very basic DJ set up at a bar near the stadium. He was playing basic pop hits until he finally got the message that everyone is here for PJ, so he put on Black. 

    And the next song he queued up?.... None other than Bu$hleager! Can't say I saw it coming.

    Bushleaguer would be awesome to get tonight.  Although Ed may be wishing Bush was still in office versus Trump.

    My son asked me an impossible question last night:

    “Dad, which of the Sydney shows did you prefer?”

    Aarrghh!

    My son came with me to SYD 1. He’s 10 and it was his first ever show. He loved every second and sang his heart out, it was a really special moment for us.

    But…

    SYD 2 had THAT setlist. He didn’t come to the second show, and it was the first time my wife and I had seen PJ together since Manchester  2012. Our very first conversation on the day we met in 2006 was about PJ.

    How do I make that choice without breaking his heart? No dad should have to face these decisions!

    I diplomatically had to say that, if you put both shows together you would have an amazing 40+ song run. 

    I think I got away with it! :lol:

    As a father (and Psychologist) who took his 15 year old son to Melbourne 2 - his first PJ concert, the answer is 'the one we went to!' =)

    Yes. I have given up. I got a refund for N1 for Philly. Night 2 is in some type TM limbo. I am going to press them for a refund at this point. I ended up getting these commemoratives from nice people on the forum.
