He also has a blue one of some sort. I was about 10 rows back dead center in Indy when he flicked one right at me  like a ninja. It was like a 3D movie. As soon as it left his hand, I knew it was mine. I had a big beer in my left hand and cup of water in my right. That pick was whizzing it’s way to me a foot above heads. I got the water into  my left hand just in time to raise my right hand for the big catch. It bounced off the palm of my hand to a guy two people in front of me. I’m still pissed… 

We were on the rail for the Weezer/Flaming Lips/Dinosaur Jr show in Vancouver last night & caught a Weezer pick during the big confetti cannon finale.

Yeah it was a really fun show! Probably wouldn’t have seen any of the bands on their own these days but all in one show we couldn’t resist. The cannon shot out a massive confetti storm all over the arena and the band and guitar techs threw out some picks & we got lucky. 

Read recently that Adam Gontier, the original singer for Three Days Grace, has rejoined the band. Inspired me to dig out some old treasures. In 2006 I won a radio contest to have Three Days Grace play an acoustic set in my apartment. The guys were all awesome and guitarist Barry Stock was particularly cool & friendly. They were also big Pearl Jam fans which was really cool. They gave me a well used pick and signed my guitar. I have some other full band signed promo photos and cds stashed away somewhere too. They ended up winning a Grammy shortly after for the “One X”
album they were touring at the time which went triple platinum. Pretty surreal experience!
