    Quite true!  One of our members here sent me a DM (what they used to call a PM, at least in in AM) saying the same thing about this place being toxic and advising staying away from it (which he and I both did for awhile, him more so than me).  It's not bad advice.
    On the other hand, it's hard not to want to talk about the shitstorm that is happening in this country.  And there is no white night in shining armor or Joan of Arc to come and save the day with our current leadership choices.  The choice we do have is an imbecilic narcissistic egomaniac who wants to play dictator and a fairly decent woman who is in favor of preserving democracy.  It's sort of like having the choice between whether to put grade B maple syrup or spent motor oil on your pancakes in the morning.  Why is that even a decision? 
    And what you have are a few people pretending dirty motor oil on your breakfast is a good choice and most of the rest of us losing our shit trying to talk sense.  
    But why?  Only because we are frustrated that in the bigger picture that is America, there are more than a few trump supporters, and we could well end up eating shit for breakfast.  On this site, the vast majority of us support Harris.  So it's not really that strong microcosm of America, at least not in proportion.

    In other words, we are kind of wasting our time here.  No one is changing anyone's mind.

    Almost. You have to find a liberal post or article online that justifies your fact check. Usually the first thing on Google search you see. You read the first couple lines then post the link so other libs can agree and comment the like.
