Yah great show but end was weak after better man ed talked for seven minutes then right into rvm then two really slow songs almost 25 minutes and 1 pj song then gremmie alive ritfw just wish they would play easily could’ve played a couple more
  • The run of heavy-hitters in the early set was really intense. Ed was fired up and going for notes he doesn’t often try any more.

Also, any show where Stone says “cowabunga” is a bucket list show.

Wish I could have made it out to Ohana.  Would have crossed 4 off the list.  Whale, Gremmie, Big Wave, Won’t Tell.  Looks like they were having fun.

I should have skipped fenway for this
Double whale weekend. Like wow. They really did some shit after 4 years of nothing special. Props to them.
Man, you are jaded. Nothing special? Ohana 2021 was special, with Gigaton finally getting played live. Spring 2022 was special, with Spinal Tap drummers and Krusen in Fresno and a bunch of other awesome stuff across the seven shows I saw. And Spring 2024 with the unveiling of Dark Matter was incredible. With these shows I've seen 12 shows this year and seen 108 different songs including everything from the new album. You better believe that it was something special.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Surely a week in LA prior to Ohana had them practice Whale Song and Gremmie. Shit like that don’t just come together. And from reports they sounded great!

And I’ll have to be honest, I can’t think of the last time I listened to both Whale and Gremmie. I usually skip them on lost dogs. Have to crack into Lost Dogs and give them a try.

  • It was a very good show - actually it was great until Better Man.  Then he spoke for way too long about random shit and the crowd was kind of asleep by the time they got  into RVM.  Then the songs with his daughter and Glen were kind of a waste (no offense Harper and Glen but this was the last PJ show in NA) and then yeah Gremmie was cool but Alive/RITFW was lame.  Upper Hand and Setting Sun were not played at Ohana.  I mean how can there be no Setting Sun on the last show of the tour and at a place where the sun literally sets on the continent.  So the first 80 minutes were an A+ and the last 40 were kind of a C.

Alanis gets an A++.  She was incredible.

7 minutes was a long rant, especially after saying at the outset that there wouldn't be any more talking the rest of the night!

I had no idea Gremmie had never been played. If you had asked me I would have sworn up and down that I'd seen it.

Ya know it is probably that
  • Garden, Last Exit, Mike's solo on Black, were highlights for me. I've never pined for Gremmie, but it was really well done, and Cowabunga, Stone was Priceless! I enjoyed it, not just because its a novelty.
If they had been able to squeeze in I'm the Ocean, it would have been my dream come true.
It was a very high level show, intense and without screw ups (at least that I recall). Sounded great beginning to end. It was very satisfying, even if not all were my own choices.
And rather than play Something Special, Ed sang a duet with one of its subjects- much more special! Bravo to Harper, nerves are to be expected. Honored to see her debut!

I was amazed at how well Garden still slams...very heavy song that doesn't sound 33 years old
