    I made a comment to someone how stupid that comment sounded and was told it’s a thing. It’s a problem in Ohio that’s been a topic lately. That’s what I was told, not what I believe.

    I know one video doesn’t make it a problem. It’s unclear if she’s even an immigrant or not (I haven’t seen any reliable info either way). And appears to be more of a case of mental illness than culture. But I guess this video and a few pictures of animal abuse online have sparked this pet eating rumor I had no idea about. It’s more people than Trump and Vance that think this is going on.
    Still sounded incredibly dumb to hear it from a presidential candidate.

The woman is a U.S. citizen and not of Haitian descent, according to press reports.

    I think you misinterpreted what I said.
    When I heard that comment on the debate I thought it came from nowhere. Apparently there are people who actually believe this is happening. I had no idea people thought that was going on.
    I don’t believe it’s actually happening more than an isolated case. And yes, I saw this was in Canton and not Springfield, but I figured that to be pretty irrelevant. 
    I’m just saying there’s this sub culture out there who really think pets are getting eaten up, sparked partially by that video. I don’t think it’s true, but I also had no idea that people actually thought that either. Albeit probably not a large number of people, but that’s why I called it a sub culture of extreme right/conservative/maga whatever you want to call it. Pre-debate people thought that, I had no idea this was a thing anyone was concerned about.

    t's not some random internet hoax gone viral, it's a racist and xenophobic narrative being pushed by the GOP Presidential ticket.
