Historically, it’s rare for night 1 to be so much better than night 2
Biggest one that comes to mind is Worcester 13.
    This year, LV 1 > LV 2
It happens a lot. The whole "second night is usually better than first night" is not a thing. It's also completely subjective, obviously.
Definitely subjective of course. Hell I have seen people say Fenway N1 2016 was better than N2.

    Not even close I say!
I definitely felt that way, but it was very subjective. On Night 1, we were in the eighth row and unmolested. On Night 2, we were about 15 rows further back and the people next to us tried to sneak their friends into the row where they stood in front of us instead of their friends and yammered away until we physically removed them.
Fenway N2 2018 I had a similar bad experience. Def takes away from the show especially in a such a big venue.

To summarize the evening for those who just joined:

DOTC is groovy and fits well in setlists every 4-5 shows
Alright needs to be played from time to time
And Falling Down needs to be played at Fenway
