No Setting Sun at either Philly show.
    I was surprised by that.

Historically, it’s rare for night 1 to be so much better than night 2
Biggest one that comes to mind is Worcester 13.
    This year, LV 1 > LV 2
    For me this Tour
    LV-1 LV-2
    LA-2 LA-1
    MSG-2 MSG-1
    Philly-1 Philly-2
    And
    Seattle 1 > Seattle 2
    Vancouver 2 > Vancouver 1

    Insignificance scratch!! :open_mouth:
I agree but, everyone said it was a scorching Once so tough call. Would've loved to hear Insignificance at Wrigley. Played only 2x's in the last decade? 😔

I can't tell if N2 compared to N1 as far as being in the building, but the band certainly gave it the old college try with that setlist.

In My Tree & Rats are may favorite PJ songs in that order, and Alone is probably top 10.

What a freaking 2 night stand.

I hope Fenway is half as good.

Nice! It took me 77 shows to get there, and only for three songs when the two people dead center in front of Ed left early to get in line for the next night's show.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I am really curious how Fenway sets are going to play out. Are they going to play it safe and do something like Wrigley or are we going to get something fun like with N2 2016. Having to play 4 or 5 DM songs a night and the hits really has taken the surprise factor out of most of these shows for me.

I think this would be cool: Side A of Dark Matter on N1, and Side B to start N2 (or lead it into the encore). Let the placement be the surprise, and have a real cohesive feel between the 2 nights.
    Everything else? A dartboard lol.

They have a very formula set list rotation right now, between the staples, the dark matter, songs, And a couple of rarities, with the three or four covers and you have your 25 set list

I think they found a decent balance. Remember we were seeing 20-22 songs. So 25-27 is definitely much better. If 25-27 remains for a non album tour… it’ll be incredibly interesting b

Night 2016 was one of my favorite shows.   That was one great night.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......
  • I'm ranking
    1.Philly 1
    2.Philly 2
    3.Wrigley 2

Wrigley was nice since it was my first time at the field and Chicago, but the energy paled in comparison to the Philly shows. Philly 2 had a redeeming encore set, but what ruined it for me was hearing Wreckage for the 3rd time and Dance of the Clairvoyants.....the song is great on album, but it's a dud live. Probably would have preferred Sonic Reducer, Go, or Spin the Black Circle instead. Hearing Rats live made up for it!

Philly 1 was amazing. I know they made setlist shirts for Wrigley, but if they ever decide to make one for Philly 1 "Double Rainbow Show", I'd gladly buy one!
  • I wish they played Animal right after Corduroy.

Philly 2 had MYM, DOC, CM,Jeremy?

Decent tunes of course. But some might look at that setlist and say, eh, it’s ok. Both closed with YL? That’s their hall of fame closer. Always surprised that’s not universal thought from some of the fans. Cool you got four shows in a row!
