I only buy Samsung now.  I've loved their TVs.

Same. Their TVs and phones are top notch.

If you go nice enough to justify it, you should find someone to properly calibrate it.

Sony will always be my default.

Just recently ordered a Samsung for the hell of switching it up and returned it after 2 days. Hated it. Mostly because it didn’t play nice with my speakers and other connections for some reason. Went back to Sony and never looked back.

Check out ones like Sony X90L. Or if you want to stick with LG the C3.

Also, check out reddit discussions. Tons more technical background on panels and such.

Bought 55” LG OLED 240hz in 2016 when I moved into my home, have smallish living room and it’s a beautiful/realistic picture still to this day

have 65” LG OLED in basement, will prob get 75” eventually down there
