Hopefully they keep playing 8-9 Dark Matter songs a night, and those disappointed start tossing their tickets into the fan to fan pool. His eminence has yet to show.

My problem (and I’ll stress that it’s MY problem) is that the band had made me a bit of a “song hunter.” Was hoping to catch a few different songs last night but it didn’t happen. Again, that’s not the band’s issue, it’s mine.0 -
If you are traveling to multiple shows in order to catch the next Mansfield 03, Grand Rapids 06, or Moline 14 - then stay home and save your money. It’s not happening
That Pearl Jam was left in the pre-Covid era. This is a totally new band with a new mindset and a new album. I have 7 shows planned this year and can’t wait to hear Scared of Fear in the 5 spot 7 times lol.2010: Cleveland

As someone who loves Dark Matter and only plans on going to one show on the tour, I was relieved to see that they played the majority of the album both shows so far. People complaining about shelling out so much money on multiple shows, that's their prerogative, but also their choice. Just like it's the band's choice to play whatever they want. They're obviously very proud of this album, and they should be.
The reality is that the majority of people at each of these shows are only going to one show and Pearl Jam wants to play the new stuff. It's not like they didn't almost completely change the song selections for the rest of the setlist outside of Dark Matter songs. I would think that should be appeasing enough to all but a small fraction of the fan base.

No. Not in the least bit.0

There are an awful lot of songs I love from Binaural, RA, S/T, Backspacer, LB & Giga I’ve never seen, and at this point likely never will. And I like DM better than every album on that list except Riot Act. So if I get a bunch of those songs twice over my 2 shows, that’s amazing. Because whichever ones I don’t get are probably gone for good after this tour like all but a handful from those previous 6 albums.

We got a lot (and I mean a lot) of 2000-2013 album run on the tours of 2016-2023. I went to 7 shows in that timeframe and damn near got all of Lightning Bolt and Avacado.
I expect the shows will start to have more variance as they spend more time on the road. But as someone else posted, this is a 24-25 set list band now, and you know at least 6 are going to be from the new album (which I think is a good number) and at least 6 are going to be from Ten and Vs.
Last night I got In Hiding, which was one of my white whales, and I also got to hear Nothingman, which is one of my all time favorites. So this fan came away pretty happy with what I spent my money on.Seattle 8-8-18

I'm fine with the Dark Matter songs in the setlist and want to hear those, just hoping for some variance in where they appear in the setlist. Completely agree that we're spoiled as a fan base but was just surprised to see the same exact 4 songs in slots 5-8 on the setlist as I don't recall this happening before, especially not back to back shows in the same city. Hopefully they'll spread those out at future shows to keep some of the surprise element (even when we know certain songs are coming, not knowing exactly when adds quite a bit to the show in my opinion).0

Video production elements, portions of the show with the same songs, ed coming out post encore with a solo song.
All brings vibes of the Eras tour.

Four of the same songs in a row in the exact same spot in the setlist is pretty lame for pearl jam. And ending both shows with the same song? ugh.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

And I don't mind Alive, Betterman, Jeremy, Small Town, Corduroy, and some of the other staples. There's no better feeling than being in a crowd of thousands all singing and dancing to songs being played.0 -
