Eddie Vedder Solo 2nd leg rumours

edited May 2008 in Given To Fly (live)
I looked around a bit on this forum, couldn't find a topic so I thought I'd start one.

As discussed on RM, there is a rumour started on a concertwebsite and a pdf file with a " what's coming" list that Ed is gonna do a 2nd leg with Liam Finn but this time on the east coast.
It should happen near august/september.
Does anyone have more info on this, or have i just been suckered into believing something totally untrue?
Havent heard any birdies flapping around to be shot and burried and can't find any hints on the net other than this, so I'm very sceptic, but it would be cool to know a bit more so I know if I should start changing my summer holiday plans or not.

Cheers!

people have been saying he'll tour the east because supposedly somone who works at the borgata (in atlantic city) said hes booked for august.

nothings been confirmed- we'll just have to wait and see.

There was a link on a thread on the Porch that had listed tour dates and what not...I think it was billions.com or something like that. Liam Finn was on it and it said he was supporting Ed Vedder for East Coast/Midwest in August/September........I saw Liam at Schubas in Chicago last week and asked him if he was returning anytime this summer and he said he would be back in September. I asked if it was with Eddie and he smiled and said "You never know" Looks like a pretty good chance we'll get a small East Coast/Midwest tour later in the year.

I just checked the Borgata website, as I go there all the time.

STP will be there and they are booked solid until the end of August. So far they are only showing one concert in September and that's at the end.

Hope this is going to happen for those of us that live on the East Coast.

the 2nd leg of eV's tour will happen following the PJ tour, no doubt whatsoever at this point,...

as far as weekend dates go, August 16 and the weekend of August 22 is still open for Borgata. Maybe, it will be August? Who knows. Time will tell.

Does anyone know if they will release the bootleg recordings from the solo tour? They should make a DVD of the solo tour.

funny how every EV solo thread seems to stear into the direction of official releases like a runaway freight train every single time.

I flew all the way out to San Diego from DC... and I would do it again in a heartbeat to see Ed solo.

Even if there is travel involved..it will be worth it :)

I hope that's the case - I got an email from Liam's list and it was really pushing that in September he'd be in the US on his first ever headlining tour... but I am getting the best of both worlds with Liam and Ed in one show.

I'd be SOO if EV did Chicago! I'm crossing my fingers now since besides this Jim Degenoras supposedly claimed the same thing.
    I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

i can tell you there is indeed one Canadian stop, in Toronto at Massey Hall; however, the rest of the dates are NOT all in New York :)

there are so many incredible venues in philly - i really hope if ed does this east coast tour, he does not land at the borgata for his concert in the philly area. its difficult enough to get tickets in this area, its next to impossible when dealing with a casino and all the tickets they hold on to for their customers.

saw this on tragically hip msg board:
a friend of mine works at massey and it's on the board there
    for August 12th/13th....
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable

I agree, but if it's got to happen, then I hope there's a Nashville or Birmingham show at least.
