Anyone staying downtown Philly?

I was just wondering if the ferry runs till after the show is over. I will be staying in the Holiday Inn Historical and having dinner the night before at Buddakan. During the day of the show heading down to get a cheesesteak and going the the Art musuem. See everyone in a day or two.

    Any good bars in the historical area or close to Pen's landing and what time is last call/bars close. I grew up in south jersery but its beed a long time since i've been to philly. Coming from Tampa.

    Sorry, on a more serious, note if you want to get a great non-tourist cheesesteak you gotta go to dalessandros on Henry ave at Wendover St. in Roxborough. They kill it when it comes to a true Cheesesteak!
    Are we getting something out of this... all encompassing trip?

    Your best bet for a decent cheese steak without going too far out of the way is Jim's Steaks on South Street. You can also try John's Roast Pork on snyder ave near delaware ave/columbus blvd. This is the best cheesesteak you can get, but it's a little harder to get down there, and they're only open til early afternoon (that's when they run out of rolls...). They have good roast pork sandwiches too (Italian style). If you get one of these- get it with the sharp provolone and brocolli rab. Also you can try the "Staples" Pat's, or Gino's these are located at 9th and Passayunk ave. Have fun...

    This is a great area for night life...Called Olde City. There are all kinds of bars/clubs/pubs...It really depends on what you're into. You can just walk on second street up to Market street and you'll find a few happening spots...Have fun!!!

    as long as you're cool with winging it, just talk to people on the ferry after the show to find out where they're going. i'll be heading to drinkers on market between front and 2nd to shotgun some pbr and continue rocking out to pj.
