Best version of Throw Your Arms...

Hey all,

Took my gf (not a Pearl Jam fan) to the Vedder show in San Diego on 4/15 and she really enjoyed it. I told her I'd make her a CD compilation of the setlist using various studio and live versions of the songs that I have lying around. I realized that the only copy of Throw Your Arms Around Me that I have is a really shitty recording from an old bootleg. Anyone got any suggestions on which show to pull a better recording from? Has Ed every played this during a preset and does a recording of that exist?

Best,

-Jeff

I mean absolutely no disrespect to Eddie's versions of the song however; I have to rally on the side of the original Hunters & Collectors: Collected Works (CD, November 1990). The lyrics are different from those many versions that Vedder\Finn(s) sing. The song appeared in '84 and '90, with Hunters & Collector's (1986) 'Human Frailty' being an Australia\New Zealand fan favorite.
    *****************
I will come for you at night time
I will raise you from your sleep
I will kiss you in four places
I'll go running along your street

I will squeeze the life out of you
You will make me laugh and make me cry
    We will never forget it
You will make me call your name and
I'll shout it to the blue summer sky

    We may never meet again
So shed your skin and let's get started
And you will throw your arms around me

I dreamed of you at night time
And I watched you in your sleep
I met you in high places
I touched your head and touched your feet

So if you disappear out of view
You know, I will never say goodbye
Though I try to forget it
You will make me call your name and
I'll shout it to the blue summer sky

    We may never meet again
So shed your skin and let's get started
And you will throw your arms around me
Yeah you will throw your arms around me
Everyone is born, but not everyone is born the same. Some will grow to be butchers, or bakers, or candlestick makers. Some will only be really good at making Jell-O salad. One way or another, though, every human being is unique, for better or for worse.

My favorite is the LA night one with just Ed and Liam, hopefully they will release a boot of this.

I dunno. It was good, but not the best. Eddie seemed a tad nervous, he was playing through it quite a bit faster than usual.

I like the version that's on Green Habit.

Without a doubt the best version of this song. Their voices sound amazing together. My wife has dubbed this version as "our song"
