How much are you willing to pay to see Ed?

different twist, same subject...folks let me preface by saying I'm older than most here and have had my share of experience seeing some pretty incredible music in my lifetime, but with that said, take out the emotion, look at your own reality, think about the tour that just ended and the shows you absolutely had to catch that maybe you didn't....now, put the hype away and ask yourself, how much are you really willing to sacrifice and shell out for an Ed ticket?

I'm happy to have gotten 10c tickets, but I must say that e-bay prices are not that bad. I think after the TM fees, most are only about $25 over ticket price. Two tickets for $250 isn't that crazy, so I would have no problem purchasing something in that area. There were two balcony seats row A and I think they went for $300. Thats a good seat.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I paid $180 on the last Ed tour.
    I would do it again.
I would probably go higher if I had to. But I doubt I would have to.

The one beautiful thing about these venues is that there isn't a bad seat in the house. I sat in the balcony of the Wiltern and it was a better seat than most people score in their entire concert-going lives. It's not like you're in the balcony at MSG.

So if you have to go the eBay route, I'd buy the cheapest thing I could find. It's still gonna be an excellent, intimate view.

if i didn't score tickets through the primary outlets, i would be willing to pay $200/ticket for orchestra seats, $150/ticket for lower balcony, and $125/ticket for anywhere in the rafters - i traveled from buffalo to la in april, so technically if you absorb that into the ticket price, i paid roughly $200/ticket for 4th (la1) and 10th (la2) row tickets the first go around, and the experience, concert, music, trip was worth every penny!

Per ticket? Cause it was $165.00 for a Chicago pair and they were higher for other places. I think $170.00 for Toronto. $150.00 wouldn't cover a 10C pair.

I missed out on 10c tickets, and am paying 156 per ticket for mid balcony in dc. Even though the venue is more "intimate" as others have said, I am a little bummed. I won lottery tickets to VA beach in June, and I think I am spoiled forever. How do you go from 10th row center to balcony and not feel a little disappointed? But I am very excited to be able to see Ed, and would probably have paid more if I needed to. What amt is my max? I would stop before opening the kid's college funds!

Note to all: Got to a couple of shows on the west coast and tix were all over the place at the venue for face or less. There's a big buzz early for these tickets but if you didn't get them yet have no fear. There will be tix the night of the show.

Also, they released tickets at the box office both shows as well.

Don't pay more than $100 a ticket unless you require primo seats and a confirmation.

I can't see myself buying tix off eBay or paying over face value on Craigslist. I've had to buy many tix off scalpers and have never had trouble getting into sold-out shows (be they PJ shows or otherwise). Trick is not to panic and to wait until the show is about to start, that's when the scalpers drop their prices to get rid of all their extras. Also, it's true that there are normally people with extra tickets at shows, I've had to flog PJ tix outside before.

So, I guess I've got to a stage where if I can't get a ticket for face value, I'm not going, I just refuse to get ripped off... and I have many times in the past.

I paid $600 to get into the vic, I actually would have paid more, and it was worth every single penny.

I paid $600 to get into the Beacon but that all went to charity and I sold the extra ticket to a guy who had been looking all day for face, so he was pretty happy, so I guess I only paid $300. He was so happy he sent me flowers to thank me.

Thanks for the flowers Jon, I wish I had your number to Thank YOU!!

Tickets are one thing! I, um, "misunderestimated" the costs associated with following Eddie.

It only cost me $150 roundtrip to get to Tampa in June, but I'm paying $1,017 to take two of us to Montreal, and $618 to get two of us to Newark. I had no idea it was going to cost this much, and it hurts!

But oh well. I'll always regret missing the Hawaii show. Now I guess I'm overcompensating. I'm sure it will be worth it! :)
