    Swung by The Record Pub in Portland yesterday to shop and talked with one of the owners. He said they’d just received the swag from the band to give away. I don’t think he mentioned everything they got, but he did say there were posters and slip mats to give away.

    I've got tickets for the cinema event but I'm tempted to go to my nearest record store on the official list as it's only 40 mins away from me.

    * I already RSVPed to my local store listed, last week, but was looking for an update for what they'd like us to do on Sun when we arrive, as the store is already open at the listening time. Guess I'll call them.

    Has anyone here been able to find any information about the listening party at Run Out Grooves in Burbank? Their website and social-media accounts make no mention of the event. Before I call and inquire, I figured there might be someone here who already did that and might be able to enlighten me. Specifically, what time is the event, and does it require any kind of ticket or reservation? Thanks.

    i was trying to find more information on the listening party at easy street.. they've been giving away tickets on the radio. probably no chance of getting in now..

    I was in the same boat with a place close to me. Definitely worth calling. The guy at my place was super friendly and informative. They're doing it close to closing time (7 pm) and he wasn't sure about promos as they hadn't received them yet.

    I'll definitely call if need be-- I'm just trying to spare them a phone call when they might be getting bombarded with them.

    If they're doing it in the evening, I'll have to miss it. I'm seeing Jeff Tweedy at Largo (a 300-seat theater in L.A.) Sunday night (and also tomorrow, Friday and Monday nights). It's a big music week for this massive Pearl Jam and Wilco fan.

    How do these work?  The record is just played in the store.  I'm trying to imagine how you can really experience the album this way.  However, I am intrigued and really do not want to wait until the 19th to hear this (and I cannot make the movies on the 16th).

    I spoke with my local record store and, yes, they just play the record very loudly while you shop or just chill and listen

    same record store was playing the  Vitalogy remaster a while back when that record released so I imagine it will be similar
