    I think there are two valid criticisms in play here:

    1) The production of superfluous items that are derived from fossil fuels is bad for the environment; and

    2) Issuing multiple versions of an album, each with a unique track, exploits the goodwill of an artist's fans.
    For sure on both, #2 is insulting…. 

    Especially when they go and drop a version with everything included (usually digital only, but still) a couple of months later.

    I pre ordered at 10C and I'll pick up a RSD variant if they're still in stock when I get there. Other than that, no thanks on all these others.

    Thanks, I spoke with the shop owner and he told me he would check with the distributor tomorrow, and would let me know if he is going to have enough copies secured that would be able send me an invoice for one.

    Alright, haters hate but I am trying to be a pretty diligent collector as things are released, locking up in original wrappers. I managed to get 6 of the 9 released per the email today. Also have the clear and red on preorder, and will drop in for the RSD variant which the record shop told me was different than the regional variants. And then there is the Missoula one which I have no clue where that is/came from/how to get without getting eBay scalped. But 12 variants for 12th released album. 

    That above is 13, plus the regular black vinyl, guessing clear isn’t one of the “12”. That’s 14 versions. Yeah it’s pretty insane but whatever it’s nice to have the complete collection to go with all the other PJ stuff I can’t resist.

    After re-reading the first post, there are 14 variants for sure! RSD release and the 10c Red are not part of the 12 count. I have 5 more to find... Will get RSD on day of, and hoping to find PNW on April 19th in a local Portland store.

    Yes.  14 total.  RSD and 10C are part of the 12. The two that are not are the regular release black, and the clear.  

    Also the 2 you have listed as Italy are just international.  They've both been available in many European countries, the UK, and Australia.

    So you’re dropping a grand on these so you can keep them wrapped and save them?  Asking sincerely, not trying to be a hater, but what’s the long term plan with these?
