Well, it's pretty close anyways. Backspacer might not be in the "Elite 5" of PJ albums, but you can make the argument that it is the most underrated. And Pearl Jam has never played the entire album in concert to my knowledge. And it is a Grammy-nominated album.
From Wiki:
Backspacer is the ninth studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on September 20, 2009.
The album title was chosen in part because of nostalgia for the historical name of the backspace key on typewriters that went out of use in the 1950s[12] and also as a reference to looking back on one's life.[13] Vedder is known to use typewriters when writing lyrics and letters.[12] Vedder said, "Backspacer [means] actually you kind of have to go back and look at your mistake."[14] Gossard said, "There are some retrospective moods on this record, where Ed is looking at both his past and his future."[15] The album title Backspacer was also used for the name of a leatherback turtle that was sponsored by Pearl Jam for Conservation International and National Geographic's Great Turtle Race.[16]

The entire length is only 37 minutes and I think it would be a blast to hear the whole thing so....
Please Pearl Jam, please play the whole album of Backspacer at Fenway weekend!
Thank you!

I'd be perfectly content not hearing any Backspacer songs. Maybe Force of Nature or Amongst the Waves I guess.

I wouldn't even mind a medley montage of like 20-30 seconds from each song but go through all 11 songs at once. It'll work out to like 4-5 minutes and would pay homage to the album. Perfect.

Why not, it's barely over a half hour. Plenty of remaining time to belt out the hits

Performing any album from Pearl Jam through Gigaton in its entirety would shred Ed's voice to the point that there'd be nothing left for the rest of the show. He might be finished by the end of track 4, as "Gonna See My Friend," "Got Some" and "Johnny Guitar" are all throat-shredders. "Force of Nature" is one of their best songs, but also not easy to sing.
Even putting the voice issues aside, another problem is that I doubt Ed remembers the words to most of these songs. If they were going to do something like this, it would take a lot of practice or it would end up being pretty shambolic, and I don't see them devoting the time at this point to diligently practicing eleven songs from fifteen years ago that a lot of their fan base has little interest in.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -
Would be amazing to see of all Backspacer! Love the album!0

Agree other than JG. It is my least favorite all time song. Unthought Known is one of my all time favorites. When Backspacer came out I liked it. 15 years later it is still just a like. Binaural and Riot Act both grew on me over time and went from an initial like to albums I now love.HailHailVitalogy said:Gonna See My Friend, Got Some, Johnny Guitar, Unthought Known, and Force of Nature would be welcomed at any show for me.Post edited by MM70435 on00 - Atlanta 10 - MSG I&2

Gonna see my friend live. Took a hot second to place the song. It sounded fantastic live. Also dig unthought known. Amongst the waves. Got some. Couple others on there too. I thought I'd never want to hear 10 front to back, but got it and 1 of the best shows I saw. So I Def feel the same way about bs front to back. It would prob be a bummer but who knows?
I'm just here for the posters and picks now ❤️0 -
No thanks. Not that I dislike it per say. But the 2nd Fenway show is our 19th wedding anniversary. Kind of a ho hum way to end the day. The missus would not be impressed at all.
