I get that prices have increased but if AC/DC are charging £130 a ticket, why are Pearl Jam charging considerably more? £160 is an insane amount of money for a show.
My daughter has been begging me to take her to a PJ show for her first proper concert. If it wasn't for her I'd me missing my first European shows since 2006.Leeds 06
Wembley 07

I stopped going to major concerts on the level of Pearl Jam (including pearl jam) for the past 5 or so years.
So much good music at smaller venues. Enjoyable and a better night out with friends. I can also go to a show like Primus and it seems cheap. I can get a VIP ticket for early entry, signed posters, meet and greet/q&a for cheaper than a ticket for a major show.
I saw Lespecial last week for like $20.
*they can charge whatever they want. That's fine. Just stating that I am priced out at this point having gone to about 30 shows in the past and have got my kicks. If they played in my home city, I would probably attend and take my son so we can share that. Other than that, I am out.Post edited by MayDay10 on0 -
I think you answered your own question here and brought up a new one, which is why are their tickets only £30 more than ac/dc.happy_larry said:I get that prices have increased but if AC/DC are charging £130 a ticket, why are Pearl Jam charging considerably more? £160 is an insane amount of money for a show.

Does AC/DC offer fan to fan? Are all ticket prices L130, or is that just the cheapest and price goes up as you get closer to the stage? The answers to those questions might help sort out why PJ tickets are initially as expensive as they are.happy_larry said:I get that prices have increased but if AC/DC are charging £130 a ticket, why are Pearl Jam charging considerably more? £160 is an insane amount of money for a show.

Value meals at Taco Bell (two chalupas, soft taco, drink) are $15 where I live. Things just cost more (some folks are getting rich by not bringing prices back down after the pandemic).0

It’s a little different- fast food doubling in price and €100 tickets almost doubling in price!bootlegger10 said:Value meals at Taco Bell (two chalupas, soft taco, drink) are $15 where I live. Non-sequitur. I'll speak more plainly: at whose urging does TM offer F2F and does AC/DC do the same.Philip_Ireland said:

I was wondering that too. I expect AC/DC to charging more for good tickets and less for crappy tickets. They tend to play more stadiums than arenas. I would expect a stadium nosebleed to be cheaper than a PJ arena ticket as generally even the worst seat in an arena is better than 70% of the seats in a stadium.njhaley1 said:

I suppose that doesn't explain the ballparks shows though

I am going to use the term "Prince Explosion" nonstop until someone from this thread hears me and we can laugh about it.
I too, thought this was about the artist formerly known as. Best thread title, ever.
